How often do you need to change your cotton and how consistent is it?

So i been trying a few things out in terms of the type of cotton i use. Ive tried rayon, japenese cotton, cotton bacon, native wicks, vapers choice cotton, cotton bacon, had angel hair but looked horrible, regular organic, cotton balls.

Ive noticed with the "Higher end" cottons like vapers choice cotton i taste something off when i've vaped it. I cant put my finger on it but all my juice taste wayyy off and the color would be a organge color from just a few hours use with omg wtf ejuice.

Cotton bacon from my first experience i liked how quickly it sucked up juice. The ony thing i noticed first pull i got a instant headache from it. The more i tried vaping it the headache would increase more.

Native wicks from the first hit i could taste something and the flavor as well as vapor werent there. After maybe pouring a decent amount of juice and breakin it in i would then notice a increase in both flavor and vapor. but i would probably get 5 hits off a simple 6 wrap 24 gauge 3mm.

has anyone ever experienced anything similar to what the high end supposed cottons are supposed to be doing

I use Japanese cotton pads pretty much exclusively, but have been playing with the Cotton Bacon lately. I have never experienced headaches or any adverse effects that I could attribute to my wicking material. I prefer the Japanese cotton just in how it wicks and convenience of cutting off exactly what I need. I get no "off" taste from either of those.

I wonder if you were maybe getting a little nic sick with the headaches and not really the wicking material.

Hi. I found a cotton wic material from Native Wics. it is EXTREMELY LONG LASTING! In fact, I do not change it until it's time to clean my coil. it also does NOT burn easily. which is nice. it comes in a roll and the wic is already rolled. just size it and cut of what you need. it's clean, no taste, and one roll lasts quite a while. it saves time too by being ready to go. it's also really strong and absorbent. I use it for ALL my wics. if your having issues with your wic and use cotton give it a try. I think you will like it. best wishes.
