I change mine whenever it begins to taste off but I vape for flavor, clouds are a bonus.

Are you vaping a different juice or change your wattage? Sweetener can trash you coil/cotton and going to a higher wattage can put stress on you cotton.
That may be it. I got am vaping an 80% VG and I do 60 most the time. ANd it is a new brand, Heady Drips. Because I can not get to the vape shop I used to go to. That is why I have been vaping way less. I have this 30ml bottle to last till Friday. And It is almost gone =/

Depending on what I vape, my cotton can go from white to black, and back to white, but when it gets matted down and fluid does not seem to wick up fast, I know time is coming for a change.

I usually look at my coils, and let them tell me what is going on. I try to keep my coils clean. If the coils look grungy I remove the cotton, and clean the coils, then apply new cotton.

Just looked... time to change the cotton! Thanks!!!

Once a day, sometimes more. Using NET juices at 75p25v and 1-1.3ohm UNregulated.
Most times its the coil being gunked-up that causes the change.. Not really the wick, as the wick could be rinsed in water and cleaned. BUT since it has to be removed to dry burn the coil and removing the wick destroys the wick. I have to rewick.

Hello everyone! I was just wondering how often you all change your cotton? And what may cause it to need changed more often? I just changed mine a few days ago and it taste like it needs changed again. And I have been vaping WAY less than normal.

    Sometimes 2 days.

@Allison Cloud Be sure to purge your coils when changing your wick.
That's pulsing bare coils and burning off impurities and stale juice.
Pulse them until they are nice and hot and glowing red. When all vapor stops coming off of the coils, they're ready. The should be close to the original color afterwards....if not, you may need to wrap new coils.

I change my cotton wicks every few days and dry burn my coils in between. I don't change my cotton because I think that the wicks have gone bad but because the coils get gunked up and the taste is off and the performance is degraded. Basically I dry burn my coils every few days and change the cotton wicks as a consequence.

I use rayon wicks and change them every 2 weeks but I don't vape sweet juices and only vape at 10 watts in most of my tanks.the wicks still look clean after 2 weeks but the coil could use a dry burn at that time.
Ditto above but I'm at 6-7 w. in RDA's/single coil. about once a week. I could do as Maurice00 but 500' of rayon is cheap. I pretty much do a lot of sweet juices but I don't believe color has a whole lot to do with changing wick. Taste is the big decider criteria for me.
