How often do you replace SS wick?

Hey guys.

Gonna call out some beginners luck here. Got a VAMO and AGA-T2+ today.
45 minutes after getting the mail. I'm happily vaping away.
Most of that time was unboxing, getting batteries on the chargers, etc. First dry burn on the wick had a hot spot on the pos lead.
gave the top a bit more wire, bam, perfect imho, from neg post to pos post start glowing all at the same time. No bright spots.

Anyway, to my questions. How often do you need to replace the wick? Can you wrap a new coil on an old wick? And where is a good place to get SS mesh from?

Really depends on how good your build is, what juice you are vaping, etc. I usually replace my wicks and coils about once a week, but it isn't needed, I just love trying new builds and just the process of making a wick and coil It's kind of my "me" time and my therapy, its truly relaxing for me

My wicks are at least a couple months old. And yes you can recoil without installing a new wick.

In a igo-l my wicks usually last about 2-3 weeks. After that it gets brittle and kinda nasty. When it gets like that it doesn't perform too well but the decrease is so gradual that you don't notice how bad it is until you put a new wick/coil in.

I search ebay for both mesh and wire. I find them at various places. I just ordered a couple 12"x12" sheets of 400 mesh. I think they were about $13 each.

Never change my wick, just the Kanthal.
