OK, so I think I have this right, but I figured this may be a useful thread for others to read down the road as well. It may just help someone diagnose an issue they are having.
How does the REO Grand work?
Let me see if I have this correct........................................................................................................................................
The button gets pressed and makes contact with the positive end of the battery. Under the "secret delrin panel" there lies the other half of the firing pin, attached to the center post of the 510 atomizer connection. The negative end of the battery rests on the spring. The spring is connected to the body of the Grand and electricity runs through the body of the Grand to the outer portion of the 510 connector thus completing the circuit (when an atomizer is installed)
I think a drawing might help here, but I have neither the skills nor the software to accomplish such a task.
So, is there actually electricity passing through the Grand and if so, why do we not feel it in our hand when vaping? Is it because it is such a low voltage? Does the electricity pass through the inside of the body and not on the outside where we hold it?
Am I correct here or am I too sleep deprived to make any sense?
Thanks, REOfriends.
