How can I test the voltage on the Volt batteries from Smokeless image with a multimeter?
I was able to test the resistance on the cartos, and got 2.8 ohms. Which is exactly what they advertise on the prefilled cartos.
Not sure how to test the battery though. I'm not getting a reading. So I assume I'm not touching the leads to the right places.
I tried toughing a lead on the center part of the battery were the carto screws on, and the other lead to the threading (tried the inner part of the threading, and the outer part).
Where should I touch the leads to get a reading? Do I need to take off the plastic tip where the LED is? Is is possible to disassemble the battery, and slide out the battery and circuit parts? I see a plastic or rubber piece in there (holding the LED in place I guess). I didn't want to try and pull that out without asking first. I didn't want to break it or screw anything up. I have a little knowledge with electronic and digital circuits. I like to take things apart and understand how they work. Figured I should ask first, because I wasn't sure if that plastic piece I'm seeing is glued in there. Didn't want to ruin it by prying it out.
Anyone care to give me a quick explanation of how they are assembled?
Also, does anyone know about the blank cartos from Smokeless Image. The website doesn't mention the ohms or any specifications on the blank cartos in the product description. Are these cartos exactly the same as the pre-filled ones?
