Vappa, i wound suggest you use a Cisco atty for flavour testing DIY's. those things can take dry-burn after dry-burn and keep going.
i had a Cisco 510 LR that lasted me almost a full year(9 months)... Best $15 I've spent. :2cool:

I tried to get one of them since reviews are very good on them. But for some reason they are hard to get here in the Netherlands. I just ordered two 510 atties that came in today, because i need something to drip 'n test my juices. I use my clearos for testing flavors that i already decided on that they are good enough for me. for the quick batch tests i use the ECO-C tanks. But a dripping atty would be much better for that. Going to give those 510's a try this evening.

Does dry burn require you to buff on it or just press the button till you see smoke? Edit: until you see no smoke*
Don't hold the button until no smoke comes out of them. Because then the reason you don't see any smoke anymore is probably because the coils broke :)
Just use 3-4 seconds burst. And stop when the coils are glowing orange on their full length. If while dry burning you see the side of the coil coloring light orange then stop too. Wait 4 seconds, then do a 3-4 second burst again. Repeat this until the coil glows orange over its full length. Then you're good to go.

Wait, did i mention somewhere to take the wick out of the coil?

Ah, it must be the "disassemble everything".

I hope you understood by "disassemble everything" unscrewing everything that can be unscrewed? Because i meant unscrewing the drip tip and unscrewing the coil from the base, coil meaning the metal tube containing the actual coil that heats up and the plastic cap that sits on top of the wicks and slides over part of the tube.
There's nothing else can can/should be disassembled. Taking the tank apart is not a good idea. Neither is taking the wick out of the coil, by removing the plastic cap and then pushing the wick up. Because that means you ripped the tank and you broke the connection of the wick with its base.

I did that once just to look inside these things. Nice to see how it works. But by no means i was able to get the two ends of the coil reconnected to the base again. Luckily i had a spare one. :w00t:
Ah, you live and learn...

sorry to offend you lol. Its down to personal tastes, and it does not fit me as one of my friends don't like awesome waffles. I don't like mints at all but thought I'd give it a shot. I didn't throw it away to make you feel better ;) I'm sure someone will take my mckool and be happy

Haha, I was kidding. JS3 is the juice I always make sure I have a lot of around lol.

hahaha.

Oh actually i'm sorry to hear that. Especially since you don't have a spare one. :(
But i couldn't help lol because of the deja vu i had reading your post.

*le sigh* I did the same thing with my spare T3 coil... accidentally pulled the wick out, and now I can't find it. :( Oh, well... the coil that's in the T3 right now should last long enough for me to get another spare, and now I know the wick is the wick, and not just some packing stuff that got caught in there.

if your just cleaning to get flavors out and not cleaning to fix a carto that has been used for a long time and has built up .... on the coils, then you can always just blow it out and fill it up with a different liquid. The new liquid will eventually over take the old.

I can testify to that. I had a tank full of LY4, and when that was done I just rinsed the tank, blew it out and refilled with Bella. There were a few hits that were LY-Bella-4, but now it's settled to just the new flavor.
