Glad to hear you moved past it successfully!
Prior to my final cig, I wouldn't vape more, or higher nic, because for me it never worked. Actually, I really did just smoke. I knew that for me, having that one didn't lead to wanting more and I'd have the one, feel better, then vape again. This happened several times over a 6 month period (hence my sig), until one day the cig didn't satisfy--at ALL. Sure they always tasted bad and left me feeling yukky physically but mentally/emotionally they did the trick.
When any satisfaction stopped happening, I had that last smoke, and honestly--I haven't had a craving since. I've had a LOT of stressors in that time and not once have I even thought of having one. If a passing thought comes, it's really just that--passing. Sure, it took me 6 months to completely drop even just the occasional one, but for me the lack of stress over it made it that much easier.
I do keep a can of Swedish Snus on me because once in a while I need something "extra", but a 24 pack lasts me at least a month. I will likely eventually drop that too, although I know that the harm in using that is about the same as the e-cigs.
Whatever works for you, works. I didn't have to be 100% free at all costs from cigs in order to eventually not want any. I'm glad that you found your way through it as well.
