hey there, I have just started the fun and rewarding journey of DIY e juicing and I read somewhere on one of these threads about adding saline to the ejuice. Personally I have not tried this so I can't say that it works or not, but it is a thought although I would think it would make the juice a bit on the salty side.

Might be good with the bacon flavor juice?

My understanding is that the higher the PG to VG ratio is, the dryer your throat hit is going to be. So, if you're looking for a "wetter" hit, you should go with an e-juice with more VG and less PG.

Unfortunately, many of the brand names will not release the exact ratios for proprietary reasons. Some are nice enough to tell you some data, though. Halo, my current brand of choice, is open about their liquid being much more PG than VG, but that's all they'll let customers know :(

As saline is salt I would never add that to e-juice. If you are wanting to DIY there are tons of options out there without adding needless things to your juice. As far as hits not being moist a lot could be due to the flavors used or the nic used.

Both PG and VG will dry your mouth out, so you want to stay hydrated anyways.

The level of saline the DIY experts recommend does not add a salty flavor. It does impact the "feel" of the vape...
The one variable I haven't seen mentioned is ensuring exceptional wicking. There's a huge difference between say an original Protank kind of hit - where the liquids fighting through thick wicking to get to the coil, and a more modern dripper hit (or a bottom feeder) - where the coil can be effectively "swamped" with liquid for every draw.
I feel like those dripper/squonker hits feel "wetter"...

I don't do very very low resistance, or very very open airy atomizers, because I like that swampy, thicker vapor...
