Nico, if you mean me, thank you for thinking of this, but there's no way I would do that, LOL. I'm not tech or mechanically savvy, but I think this one I could figure out. But not knowing whether I could figure that out or not, I think it was sweet of you to make sure!!

You are so right, being off the stinkies that is. As I mentioned, I've smoked over 40 years, up to 2 packs a day for probably half of those years and I haven't had a stinky in 3 days, 5 hours +! I'm amazed. Nothing has EVER worked for me before! Thank you, again!

? From the pics it doesn't look even with that cap removed that it's open to the filler/juice...looks like there's yet another piece of plastic under it with two holes in it instead of 1 on the 901 and that it's just a bigger hole on the other one...

The cap does nothing but inhibit the airflow through the mouthpiece. I have been using 901 carts without the cap for around two weeks now and it does not seem to make any difference with getting liquid in the mouth. I top off carts and have had them even pool up and no liquid seepage.

Hi Sharon i was like you and the main thing for me was throat hit, i tried the Dura the Evo and the 901 then i tried the Screwdriver as the last resort if that didn't work then it was back to analogs, but it did and for the last 3 months of using it i have not touched or felt inclined to use an analog, the problem with auto batteries is you will only get about 2 weeks constant performance out of them then they really go downhill and you need to replace them at $10 - $20 a time, with the SD you have no cut off so you can take nice long draws and the batteries will last 3 - 6 months at around $1.50 each, also by using the RN4075 atomizers (generic 901's) they run hotter than the DSE901 you get top performance from a tried and tested workhorse but bear in mind you should treat your atomizers as disposables they last 2 - 4 weeks dependent on usage before performance drops off and replacements are cheap at $6 each from Ruyandirect.com, the only problem with the Puresmoker mod is that it will run 7volts through the atomizer which will shorten the life of the atomizer and to get best performance you will have to constantly drip quoted as by Cash, as far as juice goes i vape Bestecig flue cured 24mg as a daily and 36 mg TW French Pipe on the evening and this combination with the SD gives me the consistency and throat hit i was looking for.
By the way i now own 2 SD's and this is all i need for my vaping habit.

Shadow, thank you for this information. I wrote to the owner of the SD asking if it can still be sent to the US considering the FDA problem over here, but he's not wrote back. That kind of bothers me, but it is Sunday and I'll wait a few days and see if he answers.

I wonder too if getting anything from Ruyandirect would be difficult, again because of the FDA problems.

I think we have a bunch of meddling do-gooders (another name for those who have control problems) in our FDA.

I did print out what you've suggested and I just hope things settle down here.

Sharon its 2.50am here Trogs probably in bed, and no it wont be an issue sending to the US or recieving stuff from Ruyan, you have to put this whole FDA thing into perspective, the stuff you order from Ruyan will be small even if you order 20 atomizers, US customs receive literally thousands of packages from China on a daily basis and only a few are randomly checked and then only if they don't meet criteria which ruyan do and Trog has never had a shipment held back from the 100's that have been sent statesiside, i have a friend in NY and he has had no probs with his orders from china, the FDA are looking for orders that are worth $2000 or more, chill

I hope you are able to find what you are looking for in an E-cig. I want everybody to be able to enjoy their stuff as much as I do and a manual high powered unit might be what it takes for you to enjoy it even if it is much more expensive.

I am sorry for the disruptions in the thread. I never intended to give the impression that these units were not good quality. I just made the mistake of thinking because I am able to get great throat hits everybody would be able to. Apparently some people can't.

if you are getting fluid in your mouth from using a cart without the end cap you might be overfilling your carts. If the liquid pools up at the top of the filling you have put to much liquid in.

In my experience, properly filled and properly handled cart do not leak. I have not used an E-cig with an end cap for around 6 weeks now and I do not get liquid in my mouth at all. The only time I ever get liquid is if it is a factory cart and that is because factory carts are overfilled. two drags through a napkin usually takes care of factory overfills.

Shadow, all good points and good information. And I assure you that those of us who have good common sense do not believe that you were unable to figure out how to properly use an auto-switch device but that you made the wise choice to use a device that provides better overall performance.

I have learned so much on this thread. Thank you, all of you! I love the idea of the Screwdriver especially, and Shadow, thank you. Wv, your information has been fantastic and there's so much I'll have to reread all your posts. Dumwaldo, your information, tips and tricks and solid support of the auto-switch has also helped me, it's given me confidence with regard to the auto-switch as well as helpful information.

Now I'm going to go back and reread and maybe even pull out all this information and file it away for those days I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or if I just need to look again at purchasing a manual switch device. The purchase of the manual switch may have to wait until next month when I've extra pennies on hand.

There is just so many little things to experiment with and learn and try that I'm beginning to see why this has become almost a hobby to many. I am amazed that I have spent so much time (and money) reading, watching videos, researching, experimenting and so on just for a smoking alternative.

One thing I know, I'm beyond thrilled to be off analogs, absolutely thrilled. I've tried for years and years to get off them and this is the only thing that has worked for me.

Beyond that, there's so many different types and styles of these little gems, not to mention flavors, etc. plus new ones being invented that it is actually becoming fun.

I truly am beginning to understand the hobby, at first I couldn't understand it at all.
