Hi

Now moved onto a Cobra, which is great, drill bit coil method, no hotspots, SS 400 oxidized wick, vapes great, one screw out to aid wicking, air hole lined up to wick, juice tipped on coil blah blah

But

Sometimes the vapor production drops off, or I get a short, or hotspots appear, so I adjust the coil, spin/wiggle the wick and it does the job

I am new to this and understand I need to develop skills/experience, however is this normal for this type of set up?

I realise the cobra is for home vaping only, the Vivi novas you can throw around and they tolerate more.

Both of my Cobras run super, rarely do I ever need to adjust anything on them,, if you havent tried the 28Awg Kanthal on these yet I highly recommend you get some. I'm running one of my Cobras on one of those Ego 18650 mods that you can run on the PWM at 3.4 and its an amazing vape set up and fits in the hand perfect, the other on a Provari or my precise and thats a super set up too, but get the 28Awg Kanthal wire it really performs super on these and no fiddling around once it's right.
