How to get liquid taste out of atomizer?

Can I just hold the battery button down and let the atomizer heat up and burn it off with out inhaling?

Or do I need to do it a different way?

I have a riva 510 with a EM low resistance atty.

You're basically talking about "dry burning", and it can work but you risk popping the atty. Especially risk with a LR atty. Better to blow it out, clean it with IPA or PGA, and let it dry before using.

how do you know when an atty is popped? it just stops working?

I soak mine in vinegar for about 20 minutes, then rinse with hot water then prime it up with new juice, seems to work for me.

Yeah, no vapor, adn no sizzling or cracking when it has new juice.

Yep, like when a lightbulb pops. It's the same concept -- a wire that heats up. Heat it up too much and the wire will break like a fuse.

Do not do a dry burn without rinsing out your atomizer first.

If you do a dry burn with juice in there you risk baking it into the mesh surrounding the atomizer coil.
Then you might get a burnt taste you can't get out.

You can get rid of that liquid taste by vaping some unflavored nic juice. Less chance of popping the atty. I do that when I'm switching flavors. I change flavors several times a day.
