I've not heard of any bad incidents involving the Innokin MVP series. Same form factor, better warranty experiences, variety of power options.

The popular eleaf iSticks require that you purchase directly from eleaf to honor their warranty. You also must have been using one of their own clearomizers. The istick 50 has had autofire issues like you experienced.
Hmm I've never had any issues with my Istick 50 I only upgraded because I started using rdas and higher wattage sub tanks and wanted to try temp control I'll look up the mvp series

It does Suck Big Time. But, +1 on flushing the Turd.
IMO-Time to seek a different Device whether they replace it or not. It obviously Failed in some regard and it obviously doesn't/can't/won't meet your Needs regarding carrying and Use.
There ARE others that will quite capably and reliably.
Get one of those and carry on.

I went to the pioneer4u Facebook page while looking for something about where to send it for warranty, apparently the company that was doing warranty quit because there were too many repairs, not good, there are 3 comments from the last 48 hours about the IPv4 catching on fire..also not good
Anybody have any recommendations on what to replace it with? I'm going to a music festival and some weekends trips this coming month so I'd like to buy something to replace it while it's being repaired.
Sigelei has just released their 75w TC model; it's a 1 battery mod. I love my Snow Wolf 200w TC machine, a 2-battery rig. I also have an SX Mini M, which is superior, another 1-battery. There are others, of course.

I actually was looking at the snow wolf before I bought the IPv4 I just bought one because my husband did,and I liked his,his is still fine for now it looks like
Since there is no company to do the warranty now,the store I bought it from online is going to switch me out for a new one, I'm still going to replace it though because I'm leaving before I'll get the new one,and it kinda freaks me out now

Sound plan, I think. I don't like to trash anybody's equipment; and I know people who swear by the IPv's. But I don't like the stories, and I am scared to try one.

the thing I prefer about using a mech mod with a kick is exactly this type of situation.
in this case something has happened with overheating and so a possible defect of the electronics is cause for concern.

in the case of a regulated mod, you either dump the whole mod , or maybe if you have the skills and the tools and can get the chip, you can replace the electronics yourself.
on the other hand, with a mech and a kick, it's a modular setup, and I can just replace the kick without breaking a sweat.

honestly after seeing the Facebook page I think they should be recalled
(Sigh) Indeed, one does wonder about liability issues.

But to happier things: that Snow Wolf is a machine and a half, let me tell you :) The day I got it, I had my (then new) Lemo 2 tank still wearing the .5 Ohm Kanthal factory build and filled with my regular old desktop peppermint 6mg nic juice. So I popped the Lemo off the Nemesis mech it was on, put it on the SW and ran it to 35 watts, just like I was getting on the mech. It vaped like a dream. So, I thought let's give her a spin, and cranked it up to 100 watts. Lordy, I thought it was gonna blow me up like a balloon! I never did run it up any farther, and I didn't keep it at 100 for very long, I guarantee :) When I had vaped the tank dry, I broke it down and put in my very first Ni200 build; the SW was my first TC machine. It worked right off the bat. I spent a half hour running the watts and temp up and down, until I found what I wanted. I have it set up now (with slick wire coils) at 40 watts and 425 degrees. It's just near magic. She hasn't been getting the use she normally would this week as I also got a new dripper and managed a great build in the Dark Horse too, so I have been fogging the room with the DH on a Smok Magneto V1 for a few days. But I just ran out of Clove juice, until I make some more, so I'm back on the SW again. I really can recommend it. It's also been steaming so much, I've cut my juices to 3mg lately. 6 is too much for me out of the SW/Lemo combo.

I also recently acquired an SX Mini M, which was, I had hoped, going to be the mod that got TC into the car with me. (I'm a professional driver, I spend a lot of time on wheels.) I have to say it has exceeded my expectations. I just ordered another Lemo 2-- got here today-- and I intend to build it with Ni200 tonite and move it in the car for tomorrow. Really, you can't go wrong with either. Considering your situation, you need something you can buy close to hand, you don't really have time to order anything. But I will say I really like the looks and specs of the Hanamodz V4 as well. As soon as the budget permits, I'll probably snag one of those, too. However, you won't find one in the local B&M, most likely. They're pretty much an order thing.

If I had an extra $200 I would buy the sx mini you're talking about I've been stalking it for a while but I'm getting ready to go out of town 3 weekends in a row so that takes money, unfortunately I'm going to have to go to a local shop and get ripped off on whatever I buy,I'm sure, maybe they'll have a snow wolf

Cheap they are not. But nice, when the budget permits. If you can't lay your hands on a SW quickly, the Kanger Subox is well though of and not too terribly expensive. It also usually comes bundled with the Subtank, which is well thought of. This would give you a spare, and the Subtank has a RBA deck, too. You already have a battery charger (I assume) from the IPv, so if you've got some spare 18650s laying around, that'd get the Subox up and running quickly.
