Hey experts, I'm fairly new at this vaping business and am having great difficulty getting a menthol flavor out of a Kanger3 tank. So far, I've soaked it in distilled water, white vinegar and vodka to no avail. Is my tank ruined or is it now in a new incarnation as a *dedicated* menthol tank? All suggestions very much appreciated.:2cool:

I've put some very strong flavored replacement juice in there and 3 days later, the menthol ghost still rules.
Maybe you could try a new coil after taking the tank apart and soaking in 91% alcohol a few hours..if that doesn't work I'd get another tank...sorry can't be of more help..

Drewfus, is this a serious suggestion? if so, LMAO! I'm lucky I can screw a lightbulb in.

If you're saying that a menthol taste is lingering in your tank after you have tried to clean it out, then yes, replacing the o-rings will do it. I think they are made of silicone. If so, you can gently simmer them in a small pan of water along with the steel parts of the tank. Make sure and remove them from the pieces they are seated in.
I'm assuming they're silicone. I have several mini PT-2's and have boiled them to get lingering flavors out of the o-rings. Sometimes it works.

Use something even stronger than menthol for a while - blueberry sorted mine out, but I got some odd looks!

Pineapple contains enzimes that strip the fingerprints off workers in the canning factory - but I've never seen it advertised as an e-cig flavour.

Ian-Field, GMTA! Blueberry is what's in there now. Blueberry with a menthol tinge that is; hah! Now that you mention it, I haven't seen any straight pineapple vape juice either....Pina Coladas and such, but that's it for pineapple to the best of my knowledge. Interesting info on the fingerprints!

Once I tried rum flavour from the home baking aisle in the supermarket - it worked OK ish.

Its just possible that they might have pineapple flavour in similar little bottles, just add a few drops to plain or tobacco liquid.

ian-field, that's a very creative idea! I know that pure vanilla extract removes garlic odors, so this is the same principle. Hmmmm....if it can kill garlic, perhaps it would eradicate the menthol as well. I'm going to try this since I have some in the house and have nothing to lose. Thanks for the thought process!

When I was looking in the supermarket I spotted Coca-Cola cake flavour, it was an idea I might have given some thought - I've since seen Coca-cola advertised on an e-cig liquid website.
