We'd need a whole season of sun to melt the 30 inches of snow in my backyard! And....more on the way; aarrrghh!
Off topic but I'm sorry hear about more snow back there.. By contrast it's sunny and almost 80° out here in southern CA..
Hope you do find a cure for getting rid of that lingering menthol in your tank..sorry I couldn't help more..[emoji39]

I had a similar experience... only not with menthol (I love menthol) but with blueberry (it makes me want to puke). I filled a Protank 3 mini with it and it was so blah I had to dump the liquid, throw away the head and wash the tank for 3 hours and I swear I could still feel the blueberry in the silicone o rings.

Finally, after trying isopropyl alcohol, vodka and God knows what more, I grabbed hydrogen peroxide (30 volumes) and soaked the o-rings and the entire tank in it for an hour or so... Problem solved.

Not sure it will work on menthol but worth a try.

Tony

Not even going to read all the post. Just take the entire tank apart and rinse it in hot water. Might need to let it rinse quite a long time to get it all out but it works for me. Just sniff it to see if it is gone. Also keep in mind it will still be in the coil. I assume your using stock coils so those are harder to clean. I'd know I use kanger stock duel coils. Just going to have to vape on it with another juice until all the menthol is burnt up. You could also soak it in some vodka and then let the wick dry. Probably going to need at least 24 hours for that. Maybe more. Since the kanger coils are enclosed it might take longer.

Tony, there's something that hadn't occurred to me; brilliant!:D
It's only brilliant if it works :)

It should though... Hydrogen peroxide is used to decompose organic matter, especially "aromatic" ones that are hard to eliminate otherwise. It oxidizes anything organic that comes in touch with it.

I used it on my fish tank

Good luck.

True enough Tony, so we shall see.:)

Jeff, it actually does pass the *sniff* test, it just doesn't pass the taste test, but thanks for your input.

Sounds like to me then that it is in the coils. Did you try a new coil to see if taste like menthol? If it is the coil besides soaking them in vodka you can just keep vaping on it until it is gone. It isn't uncommon for the old juices to stay on the coil a while. Especially with stronger flavors like menthol and cinnamon.

Hey experts, I'm fairly new at this vaping business and am having great difficulty getting a menthol flavor out of a Kanger3 tank. So far, I've soaked it in distilled water, white vinegar and vodka to no avail. Is my tank ruined or is it now in a new incarnation as a *dedicated* menthol tank? All suggestions very much appreciated.:2cool:

I had this happen before. I had some nasty mint juice that managed to migrate to all of my tanks. It spread like the measles!! I tried everything!! Nada!! What cured it finally was completely dismantling all my tanks and soaking in whiskey. Killed it dead in 24 hrs. Hope it works for you!! BTW, I used Wild Turkey 101.

I have a tank dedicated to mint/menthol and one that is for cinnamon. Both of them are evil and the flavor takes over the whole thing and I don't have the patience to try to get the flavor out. However, I love both flavors, so having the dedicated tanks works for me.

I might try some of these suggestions myself though if I decide to try something new in either of them.
