Or to get her off my back!

It's funny, but she is still a smoker and other than a disposable ecig once in a while is totally against my vaping habits. She thinks my EVODs look "illegal," or like a ....! She says she'll quit when we have grandkids, but that's a couple years away. I don't try to force anything on her but I've tried nicely to explain the health benefits, shown her the cost benefits, but she's having none of that. She's told me SEVERAL times what a waste of money it is.

i know that I'm just venting here, but any similar experience?

The only thing I can offer on the money issue is, you can show her that it is actually not a waste of money, especially if you have totally quit smoking cigarettes. You can multiply what you used to spend on cigarettes to come up with a figure for a year's worth, and compare that to what you have spent on e-cigs, supplies, and liquids. If it hasn't been a full year, then for whatever period of time you've been vaping. If the money is her only valid objection, then here's your proof... unless you've already presented it this way, with the numbers on paper. However, if you are one that needs to have a collection of e-cig toys, then she may have a valid objection.

To the health benefits... rather than trying to explain the health benefits yourself, in your own words, there are finally several actual scientific and medical studies now that show the health benefits of e-cigs opposed to cigarettes, especially for those who have totally quit cigarettes, and also for those who are cutting down. We used to take it on faith that e-cigs were a healthier alternative. There is scientific evidence now. Anything not dated late 2013 or 2014 is outdated. You could look into this and present her with the actual proof, letting her read it for herself. Reading it for herself, and seeing that they are studies by doctors under scientifically controlled methods with a report at the end may help to sway her.

Maybe this isn't the place to ask, but I'm just trying to give a positive possible answer. Some people are just totally closed to the idea. I can't tell you how many people I've spent time with when they ask what I have in my hand. I answer all their questions, and ask them if they'd like to try it. I get a very fast, knee-jerk reaction NO!!!

Good Luck!
