Thanks man i will try that now. Im not a big fan of wicks, are there any clearomizers that doesn't use wicks? If so whats the catch?

They all use wicks of some kind. Some of the stronger flavors like cinnamon may never entirely go away. What kind of clearomizer are you using?

I use Ce3's and when I switch out flavours I just shoot water through it. Even with strong flavours I never have a problem. No wicks or heads to change. I still have some left that I use, that are over a year old and still get great taste.i also like the New Aspire BC clearomizers. Been using it for a month and haven't changed the head yet.

Can you post a pic? Maybe one of us can identify it for you.

Personally, I wouldn't soak anything in rubbing alcohol. I wouldn't want to take a chance it doesn't rinse all the way out of the wicks.

In addition to eLiquid absorbed by the wicks, the coils also develop a dark buildup that affects flavors. Darker and sweeter eLiquids create buildup on the coils faster than light colored and non-sweetened eLiquids.

I clean my tanks and driptips in warm, soapy water. I put my coils in my sonic jewelry cleaner with warm, deionized water for a couple of hours. I can see the dark buildup in the water as it comes off the coils.

The black mouthpiece is called the drip tip.

The part with the rope coming out is the coil/wick.

the rest is the tank/clearo.

It kind of looks like an iClear 16, but I'm probably wrong.

What I do to clean mine is rinse everything with water. Then I put them in a bowl and let them soak in Plain Absolut Vodka. I let them soak overnight while I sleep. Then I rinse again with water, and let them air dry for a few hours. After that, they taste brand new. Also, if the coil/wick needs to be changed (you'll know by getting a burnt nasty taste), then I just throw them out and put a new one in.

I tend to use only bottom coil (Evod, Protank 3, Protank Mini 2) so the coils are very easily replacable.
