How to know when the cartomizer is full?

I have a Pink Riva 510 and have cartomizers for it. So I figured out how to put it together (thanks to youtube) and what I do is take the part your mouth goes on(the white rubber part) and take it off and drop the liquid inside. My worry is I'm not quite sure how to tell if it's full or if I put too much or not enough. What a dumb question... I know but I just don't want to mess it up.

Try this method, I use it to refill my cartos and it works fine. The only thing I do different is I don't use the Taryn Spin (in case I break something during the spin). I just put a tissue over the battery end and 'wrist flick' it, like a medical thermometer.
YouTube - A double demo! The Cartomizer Condom Filling Method, and the Taryn Spin.

Edit: With a 510 carto, I put the non-battery end into the liquid and fill from that end.

Further Edit: Should have started with "Welcome to the Forum". My apologies!:)

A very good question that I think we all asked or at least thought about. The trick is to stop just before it pools at the top. If it does pool, shake a little off and you will be o.k. Here is a video that might help out. Filling a Cartomizer I also have a few vids and links to other great vids here PupsPlace

I fill them as intended - by popping off the white cap and dripping into the stuffing. I try to count the drops. If it's a standard size stuffing carto then it should fit at least 18-24 drops because most standard size ones like Boge hold 1ml or a bit more. Depending on the size of drops your bottle makes the number can vary. On a new fill, I clean up the carto (clean any drips with the tissue I am holded on the threaded end, then blow into the threaded end with the open end down into the tissue to make sure the central air channel is clear (if it has one). Then I let it lay on different sides for about 10-15 minutes to make sure every bit of stuffing has absorbed juice.

What Dormouse said on the number of drops to fill a Boge carto. However, alternative to laying the carto on different sides I simply put it between the palms of my hand and roll it quickly to ensure that the liquid is evenly distributed. Either method works.

Hope this makes sense.

Use a syringe, you can measure the amount before you drip it in, and even if you overfill you can take out the excess liquid with the syringe and return it to the bottle. I normally put in a full 1ml and then fill it up with the syringe inserted to the bottom of the filler material slowly pulling the syringe out and actually let it overfill then pull the excess liquid back into the syringe...I can be sure its fully soaking into the filler material doing it this way and not just pooling on the top.
