BTW - the Amazing Mold Putty is food grade and can be used multiple times to make candies, molded desserts, etc. I'll attempt to use it multiple times to make drip tips and see how long it holds up. This last mold came out much better than the first one.

Here's the tip I finished today:

I wanted a gold tip that is warmer than the anodized that are available. The PearlEx powder color that I used is: Aztec Gold

That is tooooo coooool Rave!!! I'm going to have to try this. Thanks so much!

You're welcome - but I'm tellin' ya - serious "pain-in-the-tuchus" warning Jan. It is fun though (in my warped way of thinking).

Right now I'm seeing what'll happen with two different colors of resin. Hopefully, they won't blend completely. I also just made a mold for a Go-go drip tip because there isn't much of a variety of drip tips available for them.

Thanks! This is way too much like fun (for me - but I'm weird). :p

Killed my good mold today taking out a freshly molded tip. If I make any more molds for the 510/KR8 size, I'll try spraying mold release in there before casting. I found that I could spray mold release in a Go-go tip mold and then kinda distribute it with my pinkie.

The experiment of trying drops of two different colors worked, but the result is very subtle. I think if I were to try this when the resin is not so thin it may turn out very differently. Anyhow, this is the result:

I was going for something that would go well with the batts and cartos that I've skinned with wood burl auto vinyl. The colors that I used were Sparkle Copper and Carbon Black.

And, I finished my first Go-go tip in Reflex Violet:

Just a quick note: I think it's wise to wash these very thoroughly and air them out for a few curing days before use.

Very, very nice! May be a good item to try to put into production.

No, no - that won't happen - but thank you anyhow. There are GORGEOUS acrylic drip tips on the market at extremely reasonable prices (like $1.99 at MadVapes) that put these to shame, and are already mass produced. This was just a little tangent that I went on that I thought I'd share. I know there are others out there that like to build and create just for the fun of it.

I dunno...there's something to be said for a handcrafted item. Bet there'd be plenty of folks already asking you if you'll do custom colors. Believe me...thought about asking you myself!
