maybe in order to make the mold faster and easier...forgo molding the inner channel and just mold the outside of the tip and after molding a solid tip drill it through with a drill bit or pinvise if its too hard to do by machine?

That would work out just fine I think. I've been using a cocktail straw coated with mold release to create an inner channel when I pour the resin, but it can be a pain to keep it straight. Drilling would probably be less trouble.

Actually, I work in resins a lot and I can tell you by experience, drilling causes melting. The heat of the spinning bit is too much!

I can't for the life of me ..figure out how you get the dt out of the mold...lol..

Are you actually doing this? The reason that I ask is because when you actually work with this stuff you find that it is stretchy and flexible. I just push the mold material away from the o-ring ridge, grab onto the DT and pull it out. It comes out pretty easily .... usually. I've had most of my molds fall apart after three or four castings though.

Well I just ordered some supplies and will be giving it a go. Thanks so much for posting this...can't wait to try it! :D

It is fun - but remember to give them a couple of days to cure after you make 'em and that chemical smell will dissipate. Mine are holding up really well. It'd be cool if you posted pics of your results. Enjoy! :)
