how to measure VG?

Hi all,
I'm wondering if there's a good way to measure VG. I've been using a cheap plastic pipette but it doesn't work that great. It takes forever for all the air bubbles to settle in the pipette and it's too thick to get it all out. Then next time I use the pipette there's always a couple ml left over so my measurements aren't accurate. I've heard you can microwave it to thin it out but never tried it. Is there a better way?

Syringes are always the answer. Wizard labs has 1ml, 5ml, and 20ml syringes that are all great for their intended purpose. Get a 14g needle as it is the thickest they sell, and can handle the thickness of the VG easily enough.

Mix by using weight instead of volume. The air bubbles won't matter. I purchased a scale 3 weeks ago and it is soo easy to mix. I shoot for 80% VG and the scale makes working with VG much easier.

If it is 10ml or less I use a syringe with 14 gauge needle. For larger amounts I take the needle off.

I use a plastic cylinder. They're cheap enough and available at most diy vendors. Very easy to use and clean plus they make pouring into the small bottles fairly easy.

14 g needle. Pop VG in micro for a few seconds.

+1 on the Mix by using weight instead of volume. But if U insist of using pipettes or syringles, place your bottle of VG in a bowl of very warm water several minutes before U start mixing. The heat will thin the VG enough so that's it's easier to work with.

Second the syringe with no needle. Pour a little more than you need into a shallow bowl or dish; I use a ramekin with short sides and a nice wide base. A 20 ml syringe will suck it up fine; I don't bother even heating it up. Without transferring to the bowl, it's a pain to get into the (generally) narrow-necked bottle.

One other idea for you, if VG can be the first ingredient you add:
Say you need 10 ml of VG. Instead of VG add 10ml of plain water to your container. Mark a line on your container. Dump the water. Now add VG up to that line using any tool (funnel, syringe, whatever) you like.

(The very easiest for me is to set the VG bottle in warm water to make it runny, but if you want to avoid heating it...)

Any farm and tractor will have bigger needles and bigger is better for Vg.

I'm going to try both! For now I'll try the syringe cause I don't have a scale but I did happen to find a syringe in the junk drawer. Seems like a scale might be better for bigger batches eh?! Syringe worked really well for a 15ml bottle I just mixed up though
