i got some 100% VG pre mixed 1.5nic base in the mail today but i wanted to ask a few questions before i did anything
also got some VG based flavorings from north west
since i have a moderate allergy to PG
would i mix it, for example: i wanna use 5% of strawberry and 5% kiwi (both flavorings are VG based no PG) do i just mix it with the 100% vg 1.5nic base?

another question what % of distilled water would give me the consistency of a 70vg 30pg?
read 10% would do it
then i read 1 DROP per ML for example : 10 drops of DW for a 10ml bottle

but i also read if i use to much DW itll reduce the nic and flavor, any truth to that?
any info would be appreciated

PG is a good flavor and thinning additive for juice if you aren't allergic to it. Of course, you are allergic you wouldn't want it in your juice. I have to ask if you have been tested by an allergy specialist to make sure it's the PG. PG is hidden in so many products today that we eat, drink, and rub on our skin that it would be hard to consume OTC products without getting considerable exposure.

I'm not saying you aren't allergic, just that it may be something else entirely if you didn't react strongly to a medical ..... test for PG allergy. A little PG makes a good thinner for high VG juice.

This is a long list of household product that contain PG.

Because you bought your VG with only 1.5mg/ml nic, anything you add to it will dilute it. The flavoring will dilute the nic, and the distilled water will dilute it even further. To get to 70/30 with distilled water, you'd probably have to add 15% or 20% (that's just my educated guess, since water is thinner than PG), and then your nic is almost disappeared.

If you're in a position to buy more nic base, get it in 100mg/ml strength (or 72 or 48 or something stronger than 1.5), and then use it in each batch as you mix it, using a juice calculator so you end up with a final nic level at what you want.

If you're aiming for 1.5mg nic in your finished juice, you'll have to vape your nic base as-is, with nothing added to it, but it's gonna be thick.

yes i was tested by an allergist as vaping (e liquid) is the only thing i consume out of the ordinary and sure enough i have a moderate allergy to it
..been battling allergy related crap since i was a kid

and i see i only bought a 120ml of the 1.5nic base(super cheap like 5$) even if i bring it down to 1mg its fine
i might even vape it without flavoring
ill go ahead and order either 6mg or 3mg next time since its super cheap to buy it for DIY
would 100mg base last a long time?

i added about 10% of DW to a 10ml tester and it was way to runny for me gonna try 5% the diluted part isnt a deal breaker i can use it without dilution

maybe i should clarify im not a huge enthusiast but trying to learn as i go
but i like the idea of buying pre mixed so i can add a bit of flavor and go on about my business

A liter of 100mg/ml nic base would make 66 liters of 1.5mg/ml unflavored juice. You'd need to use a juice calculator to massage the ingredients to make sure you end up with the right nic level after adding the other ingredients. As Lanny said, anything you add to the mix changes the nic strength, so it's better to use the calculator to make sure you end up with what you want.

SO, to be nosy ... Do you react to foods and other things like cake icing, soft drinks, lotions, and all the things at the link I posted? I'm just wondering if there are people who stay away from foods and other items that contain PG because they react at some level and can tell when there's PG in food or cosmetics.

I'm one of the 15% to 20% of people whose blood pressure can spike 20 points if I eat high salt foods. I've studied salt contents of fast foods and other items to learn what I should stay away from. I'm the guy who rubs most of the salt off my french fries before I eat them!

yes i react to certain foods i mainly small bumps on my face(looks like everyday acne) that easily disappears after an hr or 2 (on rare occasions i get this large red bump on my lip, looks like a mosquito bite(gets super hot and itchy)then after 15 mins to 30 mins it goes away like nothing ever happened.....not an STD i got fully checked)
when it comes to soft drinks i no longer drink any(did notice issues with soda's with heavy dye's in it), i only drink water now or i make a fruit infused water(i can tolerate sprite havent tested any other soda)
i dont eat fast food either(havent for over 5 yrs) finally learned how to cook lol
certain detergents(arm and hammer before i switched) and other house hold products only seem to produce random itching on random parts of my body, that doesnt last long either.....overall its more of an annoyance than anything
yes even when i chain vape sometimes even when i dont chain vape itll increase my BP and or increase HR checked it plenty of times before and after a bit of chain vaping(never raises to an extreme level maybe like 5 to 10 points but enough for me to notice it)

**as of right not having many issues, switched to 100% vg and vg based flavors im an hr in after making a batch and seems to be going good

If you DO get stronger base, you'll also need straight VG (no-nic) to reach your final mix.
You should definitely use a calculator - tell it what you're starting with, and what you want to end up with, and it tells you how much of each ingredient. This can get tricky - because as you've realized, adding flavor lowers the strength...
What kind of equipment are you using? Maybe you don't need it thinned to 70/30?
The water will effect the vape, so perhaps you mix your flavors and base, add a couple drops only, and see if it wicks?

5% flavor + 5% flavor + 90% 1.5mg/ml base is going to get you juice that's 1.35 mg/ml.

to make due with what i got before i order some more base with this new found info
this seems to working fine, i ended up with this (attached pictures)
i dont like juices with extreme levels of flavor mainly just a hint and this S+k is doing mighty fine i got other flavors to play around with but this ratio seems to be doing just fine
i can even chain vape a bit without much issues(i honestly dont notice the difference between 1.2/1.3 mg nic that i got to normal 1.5mg nic)
i did thin it at 5% DW which wicking is doing great i tried at 10% for lulz and it was way to runny i was getting leaking
i also dont think the 0.05 of vg which i didnt add in made a big diff

i know im doing this all wrong as far as perfect measurements
but now i have a better understanding for the next run

ill do a bit more research prob get a higher base and get some VG non base
