How to post in the "Ask the Veterans" thread?

Title pretty much says it all. How do I become able to post in the Ask the Vets thread.

I just checked and all the threads are closed. Were you trying to post in one of those? Once the question has been answered, the thread is closed. If you have something to add, you an always just PM the member.

Thanks for the link, progg. It told me I did not have permission to access this page. What the Heck! Do you have to be a veteran to ask a veteran?

I only read the sticky your link took me to. Maybe something makes more sense.

Yes I was. But if the thread is closed after the question is answered, then I now know. Saw a question posted last night I was going to help with, but couldn't reply.

The threads are open for answers from vets for a few days in the ATV-Answers forum. After the question has been answered, the mods in charge lock the thread and move it to ATV forum.
