It's not too bad. Hardest part is keeping the coils legs separate. Also, make sure you don't puncture/rip the insulator that goes between the barrel and center pin. It is easy to perforate after it's been rebuilt a couple times.

I use 1.5 mm ecko, hold it against an unfolded paperclip, and wrap my could around those

Good luck! Once you have those mastered, rda and rta's are a cinch! :p

Thanks a lot, I must tell you that it's almost impossible to get insulators in Egypt, so wish me luck :)

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and a beginner vaper, Had a problem with my Kangar aerotank coils so I found a video showing how to do it, looks pretty easy. not allowed to post links here, so if anyone wants to see it you'd have to google it yourself :)

Is it working properly? I can't get it right. Always leaking.

A good pair of tweezers, a 5/64 drill bit, and a handheld torch/gas stovetop are lifesavers for this in my experience. They make it insanely easy. Cotton wicks essential.

Silica wicks can work but threading them is ridiculous and wrapping the coil around it is frustrating to the point of going insane.

30ga kanthal 10-12 wraps around 5/64 drill bit and then heat pressed to form them produces amazing results.

Stock coils can live for a month or so. Just replace the silica with rayon/cotton and dry burn them cautiously once a week (without cotton inside of course). I started rewicking month ago and only ruined one coil so far due to lack of experience. I'm using two clearos every day and refill them two or three times per day each.

Tagged to look at later :) Anyone have a link showing how to replace new coil in head?
No need to tag. Just subscribe to the thread and have individual emails (or a daily digest) sent to you.

I ground a rectangular mandrel to make a tall single coil for the Kanger dual coil atomizer. 2.5 times taller than the width of the slot in the base. Works great and much simpler than refitting a dual build. Outperforms stock dual by far using 28 or 30 gauge wire. Placed an order for Kanger parts and nichrome at lightning vapors Saturday. Will ship in the morning.
