Great vid Russ you are getting some nice clouds with them micro coils . The only thing I would say is leave the cap on the rba as your screwing your atomizer on push the power button . As soon as your atomizer starts to sizzle you dont have to go much further . One of the reasons I dont send the atomizers with big o rings is people cant get there mods to fire or I am always afraid they will screw it on to tight and over compress there gaskets . With care your method works great thanks for sharing . The mod comes with a 1 mm o ring a 1.2 or 1.3 mm o ring would be perfect if your getting leaks with a 1 mm stock o ring

10-4 Rob. I will look into getting some slightly smaller Orings. Watching the video it looks like I really cranked it down but it is not that bad, just hard to get a good grip on the base I could easily have left a some more play on it too but I tried to get the air either on the right if not straight up

Edit: I just backed it out 3/4 of a turn and it fires and the hole is pointed straight opposite the button - right where i like it most and it's still nice and tight. Good tip Rob. Thanks

Thanks for the tip. I did not have any extra orings that size so I went to the local hardware store and found orings that were the same diameter, but "fatter". They work really well.

btw, the sub-ohm thing is not for the vapor amount, the temperature of the vapor itself and the shorter drags is what sub-ohms allows me to control better

I Deal with thousands of customers what works great for some isn't always best for the masses . I learn most of these things from mistakes I make . In the case with the 1 mm o ring its much easier on me and most of the customers if I send them with the thin o ring . The thicker o ring is better for leaks for sure . I tried sending them with a thicker o rings I got tons of emails asking why there reomizer doesn't work
I have used your method it definitely works You dont need thinner o rings . Thanks for being you Russ your a good man

I have worked my way down from 2 ohms to 0.5 to 0.6 ohms and have enjoyed my vape more as I have got lower.

Your clouds look superb but when I think about it I am sure it is mostly the short drag of sub ohms that I like most. I guess it replicates a real cigarette more, which your early micro posts spoke of and drew me into the world of micros.

However, I may revisit the trusty 1.5ohm coil just to check on it as its been a while.

that's spot on UKPaul, it's the feeling of vaping as you were still smoking (short drags, warmer vapor, faster response) that attracks me in particular to sub-ohm

He could learn a thing (or two) from the Reonauts. From fancy coils to advanced moding (unsure if that's a word), this IS the place to be. People who don't even use REOs come HERE to learn.

What Rob said...I've had better luck with the smaller o-rings. However, I did just try this out on Sgt. Stryker and it worked great. I'll try it out on my other two when I get home. I was going to rebuild coils tonight anyway.

Absolutely, but we should remember that many of us do not have the technical prowess, desire or experience to go where these innovators go! We do, however, gain immensely from their experiments and output (picture tutorials, videos, how to position a coil, wicking material to use, what not to do - too many to list). Point I am trying to make: Do not feel intimidated, ask your questions even if it feels like a stupid question. I have asked many such questions and have only received the utmost courtesy, support and patience, making for a much shorter and more pleasurable learning curve and making the REO forum the best by far!

Finally did this to both of my Grands today and this rocks, Russ. Thanks a lot for the tip. I had some difficulty getting the air hole where I wanted it, but I just cranked on it until it got in the neighborhood and made enough solid contact to get a solid Reo hit. Good looking out!
