Yes they are. Only sad thing for me is that a few times a week I've been jumping ''off the wagon'' so to speak. Not real happy with myself, but then again, its not the biggest problem on my list. I probably need a .... kicking though. Time to kick myself back up to 24 mg of nic and see if that doesn't help. I know what would really fix it, a few options, some easier said then done, hmmmm, actually all of it easier said then done!

Glad you got the chucks back! I think I'll go treat myself to a brand new fresh dual coil and crack the new 18mg tribeca I got last week. Obviously the bottle of 12mg I have been using ain't enough.

Just the opposite for me. Got it all the way down to 0mg about a year ago. No more nic constricted arteries for me. Try rigging something that gives plenty of throat hit.

She is already using the dual coil cartos with 6V. I dont know what else she could do for throat hit.

Hang in there Amy! :)

Eh, I'm at 6mg. That's not very constricting and, for me, the alternative is that or a cigarette. 6mg wins. (And, at my annual exams, my blood pressure is the only thing my doctor is actually pleased with.)

I think I have some other factors when it came to/comes to not smoking. It seems pretty obvious at this stage of the game. Obviously, 18mg is going to be what I am stuck with. Back at that again and I'll probably just stay there till some other things change.

Ralph is very correct, hi nic, dual coil and six volts, can't get much more throat hit than that. LOL! There is something in a cig that actually calms me down. Makes sense as the breathing exercise for anxiety is to hold as long as you can AFTER you exhale, maybe it is just cutting down the oxygen, not sure. Thank god for vaping though because I can pretty much stop like that, there was a time that was impossible!

Poeia, your latest Hugh picture cracks me up. Been watching my fair share of House reruns and if that is all you know the guy for then seeing him not so angry strikes me as funny. Too bad you don't see him in more movies, it is obvious he's one of those actors with a lot of range.

Off to work, stopped by here today as I am stalking the pron thread. When you see the sigline chuck you'll know whose it is. :) I'll be glad to get it, my Hank chuck is too pretty for everyday abuse and the switch died on the worn out gunsmoke chuck which I'll send in for a complete overhaul once I get the other one!

Yay!! My chucks shipped out, hopefully they show up tomorrow.... Not a long haul from northern IL, to southern WI. My poor Ireland Chuck had a button issue that I found out I can't take apart and fix, so I've been waiting for this order. I should be able to send my Ireland chuck back to Jeff for fixing now too! One is for my friend, and she will be quite happily surprised. I'm not sure which one I like better either. (Mine are the two non-life-saver chucks in the newest pr0n.) Originally I was going to have the purple cloud one for myself, and the other for her since she took that picture, but now I'm not sure. Jeff did a great job, I'm excited to get them in hand!

No an alternative for you and everyone is 0mg. Try taking your BP while vaping. Of course if one is in denial that is something else altogether.

We all might share vaping, we all might share similar stories but everyone is still pretty different in regards to the how and why we smoked. Lots of variables. Poeia has one of the best success stories out there and the fact that she actually gave up nic all together in the way she did was awesome. So she needed a bit to stay successful, I see no denial there. Denial, well I am pretty dang sure even vaping 0 nic has some side effects. Really, can sucking down PG. VG, food flavorings and what ever else that comes from an atomizer/carto etc be good for you either?
Most folks are not in denial in regards to that, what they are clear on is that vaping, regardless of nic levels, is a healthier alternative to smoking.

Denial is thinking one can lead a perfectly, 100% healthy life. No matter what you do, eat, breath etc someone can always find something in it or about it that can have an adverse affect on one's health.

So while zero nic is very admirable, using nic isn't horrible either. I am sure you can find someone stating to you that if you don't need nic, why vape at all? You beat the chemical dependency of cigs but cannot overcome the simple mental addiction of the action of smoking? Would that not annoy you?

Not trying to bash or pick a fight, rather just pointing out that we all vape for a healthier alternative and within that large group, we all have different needs and addictions that keep us vaping. :)

Posideon, they're gorgeous. I especially like the earth-toned hang gliding one.

gjr, I went from 3.5 packs to 0 in 5 days (after 40 years of smoking). In about 2 months I dropped my nicotine level from 24 (with the occasional 36) to 12. Four months after that, I was in the hospital with pneumonia. For 3 days I had maybe half a dozen puffs per day. As a result, I thought I could drop to 0mg and I did -- for 1 month. As the month progressed, I wanted a cigarette more and more and in the last 3 days I came very close to buying a pack. Fortunately I hadn't put my liquid with nic up for trade yet and I found that 6mg is enough to keep my craving for nicotine comfortably at bay. And vaping itself takes care of the other aspects of my former habit.

After the pneumonia, I was sent for a full pulmonology work-up. According to that doctor, I am "one of the lucky ones." Despite all that smoking, I have no damage to my lungs. (I do have some breathing problems but they are weight related.) That doesn't mean that I didn't sow the seeds for future lung problems but so far, so good.

I know this isn't the ideal solution but, barring my getting a time machine and stopping my 15-year-old self from having that first cigarette, it will have to do. I'm happy for you that 0-nic worked but if one size fit all in the stuggle to quit smoking, this forum wouldn't exist -- we'd have all quit cold turkey years ago.

Since I do like my Little Chuck I've been using the dual coils on it and the HV Boges on the 6. Works well for me......I started at 24mg of nicotine, went down to 16, and am now going to go to 12. We'll see what happens :)

Sounds like a good plan ScaGin. :) I like the DC cartos, they make 3.7V work for me... Of course it seems like 3.7V worked just fine before. Hmmmm.

We're getting spoiled. Before the hurricane, I made sure every battery I have is charged, including my original 801s. The other day I was looking at them and decided to pull out an 801 atomizer. Tasted fine for the 45 or so minutes it lasted. How did I ever quit with something that needed recharging every hour?

I dont know how we did it. I still enjoy my chuck regularly, but I've been making and using Altoids mods that use 4 AA rechargeable batteries. Gives me almost 5V performance, but the thing I like the best is the 2 plus days of battery life. I have spoiled myself.

LOL!

Spoiled is right. Dang, when I first got my chucks I didn't even order a set of 3V batts because I thought six was crazy. I am not even happy at 5Vs. Change out my batts every day.

CD, I have the same dang problem. I was even tempted to have one made in rescue orange but I know I'd still misplace it. I tend to stick mine in spots in between other things and yep, can't find it and go into the same type of fits I used to go into when I ran out of cigs. LOL!

Ho Hum, I feel like the winter blahs are already setting in and we are still some ways away from winter. For as fast as its going, its gonna be a long one.

That's the one I picked to give to my friend when I ordered. She took that picture back in March, on a CRW skydive. (That's the canopy formations.) It's a sunset shot and is gorgeous. It turned out great on the chuck, and I was a little jealous when we opened them up and I saw it in person. I might have to get another one made with a similar picture (just have to find one with me in the formation!) She loves the chuck and was near tears when I gave her a whole kit of stuff to get going on it. She was getting quite frustrated with her blu cig after I had let her use my chuck when she was around. I'm ecstatic about the whole situation. Thanks Jeff!!
