I usually just tilt my head to one side, wet ear down, and smack it on the other side real hard a couple of dozen times. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but in the end, I aint thinking 'bout that ear being wet any more.:lol:

Seriously though... I am allergic to NSAIDs. So all I can do for a fever or headache is Tylenol (acetaminophen). The reaction I get if I take an aspirin or motrin is that one eye will swell almost shut. The bizarre part of it is that it could be either eye, but never both. This started when I was in the AF. Took about 6 times over 4 years to figure it out. I have a feeling it was caused by some immunization they were beta-testing on us GI's. Gotta love it. But then that's the latent conspiracy theorist gene kicking in... I mean they would NEVER experiment on the troops.:grr:

Yes, we got the nose bleed humidity here and the ear dried out right away.

Boy, you must be glad they invented acetaminophen. A medium bottle of Advil can last me a year but when I really need it, it's my best friend. Can they do anything for the swelling like give you epi? That works for swelling from things like bee stings.

Don't be paranoid. Of course the government would never experiment on our troops. Those people are already giving so much for our country, no way they'd test unknown drugs on them. If you believe that, next thing you know, you're wearing a tin foil hat.

They would just have me hold a cold ice pack on it. The swelling would go down slowly and be back to normal in about 6 hours. I had epi for a bad brush with some fire ants in 83. That was fun. A shot of epi in the ..., with a valium chaser. That was fun.

Not paranoid at all. It has happened many times before. I am sure that it will happen again....

Amy, I assume you all sing "Gary, Indiana" from The Music Man as you drive by.

Ralph, are you all un-vertigoed? I have a cool link I wanted to post but, while it wouldn't cause vertigo I could see it being uncomfortable for someone already in it's throes. Never mind. I decided to post the link in J0kers.

I am back. Had a nice time for the most part. I did not sing that Poeia, but my daughter about choked when I told her she should bow her head and take a moment to reflect. LOL! My brother did a short photo shoot with her, dang, I got a beautiful kid! We got back, stopped at that factory outlet mall. Really, Vera Bradley stuff is still a hot thing? Store had a sale, place was packed with a line a mile long. Got a gift for mom and kid got a bookbag. I am at the tweener age, you can pull it off when you are a teen, you are expected to have one as an old frumpy but got disposable income lady but I decided I was not going to be sporting one of those. LOL! Personally I think that is where all the bad bedspreads from the 70's go to be reincarnated. :)

My chuck served me well, especially since it seems all hotels are nonsmoking these days.

Ralph, are you feeling better. Did you make an appointment to get that tracking device removed from your inner ear? ;)

My padded cell collapses for travel Ralph, it wasn't needed but when on the family visit type trip, it is always good to have just in case!

Enjoy your "me" day.

Thanks but my "me'' day just got shot to hell. Drove 90 miles out there, got royally ticked off, loaded up the dogs and just got home.
So tomorrow I'll just try and give my house a me day by cleaning it some. :/

hmmm, the highlight of my summer so far is a box of triple coil cartos, apparently that is as good as it is gonna get for a long while.
