Hey there people, i've been vaping for about 2 months now, it seems like more and more every day, but just can't seem to kick the old smoking habit especially in the am, how do alot of you guys do it, just straight vaping with no cigarettes in between, i'm really sick of cigarettes and every day i get up, i'm like ok, not buying any today, or i'll be like when this pack is gone, that's it not buyin anymore, but it seems i give in and buy some although i have like a year's supply of juice and two awesome mod boxes, can some of you good people give me tips on how to just vape?
P.S.-vaping did cut my smoking in half or better :>)

When I quit a year ago, I found that it helped by starting with a pretty high amount of nicotine in my juice (24mg). It seemed like it was about the same as my 2 packs or so a day and it cut the nicotine craving right away. Since then I have lowered myself slowly (over the last year) down to 8mg's.
Another thing that helped were flavors. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so lightly sweetened flavors helped kicked the desire for a cigarette that honestly tastes like garbage anyways.

Personally, I quit the cigs by going cold turkey from the beginning (only vaping). It was hard for the first three days but it's been fairly easy ever since. Just try to see if you can make it at least a week, and it might get easier for you. You could also try upping the nicotine or even trying the WTA juice if that doesn't work.

Morning is the hardest for me, too. That's the only time I've really been tempted since I quit a couple of weeks ago. I need a different juice first thing in the morning because the sweeter ones I like later in the day don't appeal to me with that first cup of coffee. During the day, I vape 12 mg, but I use 18 mg first thing in the morning and I had to play around with mixing juices to make a concoction that would satisfy me. I mixed some flavors until I came up with one that is getting me through, but I'm still searching for something better.

Don't beat yourself up. You have cut back a lot, which is great. Even if you have found your all-day vape, you might have to keep searching for one that works better in the morning, something that you look forward to as much as you looked forward to that first stinky. On bad mornings, I pretty much chain-vape until the desire for an analog goes away. It always does.

One other thing--I quit analogs pretty easily, but I think the reason I did is because I wasn't trying to. No pressure on me because this was just going to be something I did when I couldn't have an analog. I didn't even realize at first how much more I was vaping and how few analogs I was smoking. Maybe you could just enjoy vaping and stop worrying about quitting and it will happen naturally when you aren't pressuring yourself. If I had been thinking, "No, I can't have a smoke. I have to vape instead," in those first few days to weeks, I would have felt panicked. Even now, I tell myself I can have one if I want, the pack is lying right there within reach, but since I know I can have one, I don't feel that panicky need to have one. Does that make sense?

I have the same issue, and just vape higher nic in the morning. It really does work. Vape until you are full...just like eating.

Last thing, pat yourself on the back, cutting back is a HUGE deal, and you are on your way.

Exactly - after getting "full" I can't even think about the analogs.. It makes me sick..

I quit smoking with vaping about a year ago. Unfortunately I had bought a crappy e cig that only lasted a month. Once it broke, i lost the interest in e cigs. My vaping experience was ruined. Just recently in early May i decided it was time to quit smoking again for well being and to have better workouts in the gym. Analogs were ruining my life. I do deliveries part time and I have been chain smoking since I started in the car in November. I'd wake up in the morning feeling like crap and have no energy in the morning. I even gave up my favorite passtime, working out, for several months because of analogs. I was so disappointed with myself and I felt like i was going nowhere. I also looked as bad as I felt. I decided it was time to invest a little more money into an e cig and purchased a riva 510 with a lavatube also coming in the mail. The minute i puffed on that thing, I never touched a cigarette again. There is still a pack of analogs in my car under my seat that's been there for 3 weeks I don't even touch it. It's just not worth it. I look and feel a lot better and most importantly to me I can breathe better in the gym. My sleeping has gotten so much better and i no longer feel like crap. Just put those things away, wake up in the morning brew yourself a nice coffee, kick back with the newspaper and your PV on a lazy boy and vape for as long as you want. You will forget about cigarettes more and more each day and eventually the thought of smoking an analog will disgust you.

Good luck man

May i add that since may 2nd I've been putting 7 bucks away every day in a jar that mostly comes from tips as a delivery driver that I would of used on a pack of analogs. I see all you guys with signatures saying analog free since : __ and smokes avoided :___ . Those are cool but it's even cooler to store the money away each day. That jar is going to look really cool in about a year or two :) I might even have to invest in a big jug of water to put the money in cause its almost overflowing with toonies and loonies :):)

i wont lie.. i got LUCKY... the second i started vaping i never went back to smoking.... i'm one of the few.

stay motivated.

I'm the same. I bought my kit locally, tried it out after the vendor showed me how to fill the carto and took a puff. It tasted great. I got home and lit up a traditional and smoked it mostly to compare the flavors in my mouth. But I also smoked it with a thought process of "This will be my last one of these because I have found a better solution." That seemed to help a lot.

Side note (not to thread jack) ... have you been to the new store on Orange Ave yet?

sent out my vv to get upgraded yesterday, using a ego twist vv today to see how long and if it will work out for me when going out(the wife finds it less hood like). For me the vv option in any pv is the satisfation point that gives me the option to experience the juice the way I believe it should be.For under 30 its a great way to go imo.Reason for the ramble is that what ever option works use it.

Yes I feel lucky as well, I got my package in the mail, hooked it up, started vaping, had one cigarette about 3 hours later just for giggles and haven't picked one up since. When I feel the urge to smoke I just go and hit my PV a few times like it is the natural thing to do and its working for me. Just about three weeks now, and I dont see any reason it wont keep working.

try watching grimmgreen or igetcha69 on youtube...they may be able to help you with the vaping technique of long drags, and the like.

Also try these items...they work on any 510, but especially work great with ego batteries...going out looks better then vaping an eraser sized mod ya know...all produce plumes of vapor man...

I quit the same day i started vaping..(bought an ego ) even with those lousy cartomizers 2yrs. ago..i quit!
At least you have the benefit of great new tools, that produce immense clouds of vapor....
B.) you should maybe kick up the nicotine to 36mg nicotine man...i use 24 mg nic for past 2 yrs...not interested in lowering it at all...i enjoy vaping.

Try these items man..the best stuff i've used to date:

try these items instead of your carto's or atty's man...awesome vapor!

1. great little fogmak'n machine here...and at only 2.4 ohms..omg!! gotvapes threw it in my order for free, and it'll work on a cig style battery too since it's 2.4 ohms only! (GotVapes VISION EXTREME REGULAR 1.5ml 510 Carto 2.4-2.6ohm 1 PC)

a.) EgO Dual Coil 1.5ohm 4.5ml Blank Cartomizers
b.) 510 CLEAR XXXL Dual Coil 1.5ohm MEGA SOFT CAP Blank Cartomizers
c.) i got this the other day from gotvapes, he just threw it in w/my order...i mentioned it above...is small so is low-key when going out...

:mad:enjoy my experimentation results..you won't be disappointed with any of the above items..kicks em all to the side o' the curb.

It took me three months to wean off the analogs so don't worry.

One day you will wake up and have a cigarette- it will taste nasty. The next time you light up, it will taste even nastier and eventually you will not want to light a cigarette anymore because the taste is so bad and your face will look like this:

You could try setting your alarm a little earlier and vape in bed for awhile (assuming you are not allowed to smoke inside). Once your brain associates vaping with the morning 'hit', you may find the morning analog craving begin to weaken.

Don't be discouraged. There are lots of people here who quit the analogs despite not intending to. You can do it!

Love to All

If quitting all at once isn't working for you, try gradually cutting back. Even if you don't quit smoking all at once, with every potential cigarette you don't smoke, you will see improvements in your health, well being, senses of smell and taste. So even if you never give them up completely, it's still a positive if you're only vaping part time, so to speak.

So why don't you just make it your goal, for now, to replace, oh say half of your cigarette smoking with vaping. Try just naturally progressing from there. Don't be surprised if one day you realize you haven't had a cigarette in days. That's how it was for me. My goal was to quit, but apparently I couldn't go cold turkey, even with vaping. A mental block I suppose. But as time progressed, I found myself favoring vaping more and more. I found my sense of smell and taste improving, which spurred me on. It's amazing how bad smoking smells and tastes before we kill our senses. Vaping smells and tastes significantly better (that was a big part for me), and the sensations don't linger.

One day I realized that I hadn't had a cigarette in a while. I hadn't even realized. But again, if it takes you a while, that's okay. If you never end up giving up cigarettes completely, oh well. Vaping part time is better than smoking full time. It's all about harm reduction.

Also, good equipment makes it so much easier. When I started vaping, I used a 510 small battery, cig look alike model. It worked alright. I got okay vapor production. I thought it was good enough, but I really missed that real nic hit. I didn't even realize what I was missing until I got a Lava Tube. I actually got a head rush with that device at high voltage, and at just 6mg. I started vaping at 24mg and didn't even get it then. I really do believe that high quality equipment and significant battery power is critical to sufficient nicotine absorbtion.

Now I'm not saying you should go out and drop $100+ on a VV mod. They're aren't necessary for everyone. I probably don't even need one. But I wanted one lol. An Ego style with a high mAH rating would probably do the job just fine, especially with a duel coil, or low resistance juice delivery system. You don't even have to buy an expensive starter kit. Get a single battery, charger, and oh, idk a couple clearos or cartos. Just to see if you like it.

It took me about 3 months of vaping and smoking to finally put cigarettes down. I had to take my time.. learn the ropes.. find out what worked for me.. aquire reliable devices and backups.. find a decent juice. When I finally quit I was using the little 510 PVs.. right after that I ordered an ego kit. I didn't rush or pressure myself. I would smoke then vape and compare the two. The last month I was down to 2 cigarettes a day, one in the morning and one at night.. then just one in the morning. I see people who can easily quit the same day they get their first ecig but many more of us have to take our time switching over. I liked vaping more than smoking.. and still do! :D
