How to stop the Steeping process

Hello all.

Here is my situation. I like many of you all love to stock up on my favorite e-liquids. The last batch of bounty hunter I had was 2 X mini jugs and 3 X 30 ml bottles. About 5 months later I got around to the last 30ml bottle and it was so dark brown and the taste was terrible.
I had a great juice maker tell me some tips, And this is his quote.
"

Malic acid (best) or citric acid(short term) will preserve its PH and keep it from steeping. There are things available like Lorann tart and sour or FW sour both containing malic acid that will work . Put 4-5 drops per 30ml and it should help . Only downside is it will add a slight tartness to it and i have shown in my testing that it can have negative effects on the life of a atomizer coil "

This advice seems great, but is a bit over my level and was hoping for something much easier.
Anybody have any simple tips?

Well, shelf life seems to be only about 5-6 months for a lot of juices. Maybe don't buy THAT much at a time? I have also heard that storing it in the fridge helps preserve it for longer. I don't know how accurate that is but it is what I have heard. Hope someone can help you out!

Maybe instead of trying to stop the steeping process you might consider not buying 350ml at one time?

Damn, that's a lot of juice. Anyway, I also read somewhere that the fridge can help preserve eLiquid. I don't buy that much at once so I never had to test this theory.

Dunno why that NLV juice went bad so fast. Most juice will last a year or longer.

Yeah, I'm just finishing up a 30ml bottle from Nov. 2011 and it's fine (mighty fine! )

I have a bunch in the fridge. Some will tell you that condensation will spoil the juice. Maybe. Never happened to me...

Of course, you want to shake it and let it get back to room temperature before you vape it. You knew that, right?

The enemies of 'freshness' (whether it be bread, vegetables, or juice) are light, heat, air, and moisture.

Avoid those, and things will last longer.

Juice in the fridge is a good idea.

Fridge is where I keep all my nicotine and juice after I make a batch. Its the opposite effect of leaving a bottle of ejuice in a hot car in a parking lot all day 8).

And to those who asked why I bought so much at one time. Since it was so hard to get and I hate to sit around hitting refresh on the computer screen sometimes I stock up on my eliquids. I thought they would stay good for at least a year but that's not the case with all of them.

I understand your frustration. I've never tried that particular juice, even though I'd like to, because I won't sit around hitting refresh. I have too many good juices to mess with that kind of nonsense.
