    No you can't
Your right Rossum just checked out Wizardlabs and couldn't find anything on adding gas. Since they're saying "recommend transferring your nicotine solution into glass containers" below & stating that it can be stored over two years. Nude is the way to go for long storage plus it's packed in bottles.

Wizard Labs Nicotine solutions are shipped in chemically resistant plastic containers for shipping safety, and heat sealed in multiple containment bags to prevent leakage during shipment. For long term storage over 2 months, we recommend transferring your nicotine solution into glass containers with airtight lids, and as little airspace in the top of the container as possible. If stored properly, in a freezer at 0°F, a nicotine solution can remain viable and usable in excess of 2 years. 60mg Nicotine solution - 500ml

Notes on oxidation: Nicotine oxidizes rapidly with exposure to oxygen, light, heat, and moisture. As Nicotine oxidizes the color of the solution will turn yellow to amber brown in color. Higher strength Nicotine solutions will oxidize more rapidly than lower strength Nicotine solutions. This does not significantly diminish the strength, potency, or safe handling requirements of the solution. All of Wizard Lab's Nicotine solutions are purged with Argon gas at the time of bottling to eliminate excess oxygen, and help prevent oxidation during shipment. 60mg Nicotine solution - 500ml

It seems that WL or NN are the preferred nicotine vendors among you.
I saw some 100mg nic MUCH cheaper than either of those, but also thought "You get what you pay for".
And, it's a one time thing for me. I'm going to buy a multi-year stock and store it, and I'm going to do it soon.
So, hard to get some from various vendors and see how it vapes and stores.

Here's what I have settled upon, see if you can find issue with it.
I will buy 250ml glass bottles.
These will be labeled with date, bagged in plastic (just in case), and placed in a refrigerator freezer at -6 F.
I'll take one of these bottles and transfer what I need to mixing to a 50ml glass bottle for working.

    Did I miss anything?

Thanks much for all the info, I've learned much in this thread.

Copy and paste from a previous post I made I January 2015 :toast:

I have a freezer full. One can never have too much nic

6 or 7 months ago, I found a bottle in the freezer from 2010. Opened it and it tested 3 mg less than what I stored it at (did not have a test kit when I stored it. SO no idea. It may have been 3 mg under then as well) It is crystal clear and taste just fine.

I have a bottle that I was using when I found the 2010 bottle in the freezer. That nic is in a amber glass bottle. Cracked it open and it smells and tastes fine as well. It is 9 months old stored at room temp.

So VG for me as well.

WL no longer has the reputation as being one of the "cleaner" nics around and my theory is that you want the cleanest nic possible for long term storage, 'cause it isn't going to improve with age. Last summer, I was second-guessing my choice of NN as a vendor 'cause a few others we getting a reputation of being as good or possibly even better. So I bought some of each and ran a blind test with almost a dozen participants. It started here. The results were fairly conclusive that Nude was the cleanest.

If I were buying 250 ml bottles and planning to rebottle when they come out of the freezer, I'd split it into five 50 ml bottles at that time, leaving minimal headspace in four of them, and then put four of them back in the freezer.

Now, I just have math to do to come up with a quantity to buy.
Here is how I did that math. I refill from an 18 ml bottle. It lasts 2.5-3 days so I'm vaping 6-7 ml per day. I use 12 mg of nic per ml so 12 mg X 6 ml = 72 mg of nic per day. A 1 liter bottle of 100 mg nic has 100,000 mg of nic (1,000 ml X 100 mg). So 100,000 mg / 72 mg = 1389 days / 365 days = 3.8 years. I believe nic can last 10 years in a freezer in amber glass bottles so I got 3 one liter bottles for $50 each. If you vape 25 mg of nic per day one bottle should hold you for 10+ years. It appears my DIY is costing me about 12 cents a day.

For perspective a cigarette yeilds 1 mg of nic in the smoke, most of the nic in the tobacco leaves is lost in combustion. No nic is lost to combustion in vaping because there is no combustion. To get 100,000 mg of nic from cigarette smoke you need 5,000 packs. At $6 a pack that's $30,000. Liquified nic is a good buy.

That's what I was going to say, but you beat me to it. This way, you only have a one-time air exposure when you rebottle into 5x 50ml's, instead of opening the 250ml bottle on five separate occasions and introducing more oxygen each time you do.

    Understatement of the decade.

I've looked at it this way: A liter of cheap 100mg nic base costs about the same as a carton of cigs. A carton of cigs used to last me 5 days. A liter of nic will last me 2.5 years. A few liters in the freezer is CHEAP insurance folks.

Yep! Just mailed the insurance payment for another three years twenty minutes ago.

Another question too. I'm gonna assume all the foregoing also applies to the already mixed PG/VG option? I usually order 250ml or 500ml of 24mg 75/25 (I know:facepalm: that's the easy out, but hey, it works for me). So I'll be putting a few of those in the freezer this weekend. Same thing, right?

If you-all would like to read some history :)cool:long history 6 yrs) look up a fella that goes by the handle of Kurt.
I started reading his posts on storing nic in 2009. Put up some 60mg 100% vg the same year, in 15 & 30 ml bottles :blink:thought small back then!
I pull some out of the freezer, when I think of it, and mix it with my 100% pg nic, I can't handle vg:nah: so
I mix it to no more than 5% of the total.
Its still as clear as the day I put it up so go from there. And happy reading:)

I think i'll be doing the same thing. I've been buying 12mg or 9mg 70/30 base for mixing since i started.

The trouble with buying pre-mix is the amount of space it takes up in your freezer -- that is if you're stocking up for the long term. 10-12 liters of 100mg should be a lifetime supply for me and doesn't take up a whole lot of freezer space. I'd to store ~7x that much if I bought it pre-mixed.

Making unflavored pre-mix from 100 mg "high test" base is really easy. All you need is a wide-mouthed plastic bottle and a graduated cylinder. I use a 1.7 liter bottle that came full of Gold Peak brand iced tea (which I drank) and a 250ml graduated cylinder came from Amazon. I don't measure the 100mg high-test base. I just dump 120ml of it (the size bottles I buy) directly into the mixing bottle, thereby minimizing handling and the possibility of spillage. I then rinse the bottle the nic came in with PG (to make sure I get all the nic). This gets dumped in the graduated cylinder, the correct amount of PG gets added, and dumped into the mixing bottle. Finally, the correct amount of VG gets measured and dumped in the mixing bottle. Put cap on mixing bottle and shake well. Allow to settle. Repeat the shake-and-settle a few times. After it settles the last time and all the air bubbles are gone, I re-bottle the now vapable pre-mix in 120ml bottles.

Been purchaseing nic for several years now, started with MFS,then wizard then nude, then vapor tek and now finally Vapor Tek Throat hit.I have to quit reading The Nicotine Comparison thread. I really like the throat hit, especially the price. I think I have enough now, but if I was to start all over, I would just go with VT throat hit and save some money.

Liquid nic is just like flavored juice in that "taste" is highly subjective between individuals. I'm a NET fan and have been extracting/making my own for several years, don't like Nude Nicotine -at all- it's too smooth, too little throat hit. I do like Vaper Tek's "Throat hit" nic but no more than nic from RTS, Heartland, Wizard labs or MyFreedomSmokes. From all that I've tried I like the taste, TH and clarity of MyFreedomSmokes "current line" of liquid nic best. The fact a liter of 100mg costs just $50 (free shipping if you buy two), is just icing on the cake. I can buy a -gallon- of crystal clear 100mg nic for about the same price people pay for 1000ml of Nude Nic. My wife on the other hand is into fruit flavors and prefers Nude Nic because it's so smooth, so I buy (and store), it just for her. As a result, my deep freeze has "His and Her" nic sections. :)

I hear you, I have spent wat too much on premium nude nic and premium vapers tek, when I am just as happy with Vapor tek throat hit. My taste buds cant really tell a diference. I did buy MFS nic back when they firs started using aLCHEM NIC and it was pretty harsh, bought a couple litres of it. I will still use it when I run out of my good stash or make juice for other with it.

I also fogot to add that Kurt here on ECF recommends putting smaller amounts of nicotine in 30ml bottles with euro dropper lids, and extraxting your nic from them useing a syringe. Thus no air introduction into your nic.
He currently uses 50ml's glass bottles(and recommends whatever size suits personal usage), and recommends good sealing caps like euro droppers(which also acts as good gaskets) or polycone caps, and personally prefers euro-droppers over polys just for avoiding spills...
