I have several pre-made bottles that I have purchased from one vendor. Some of the flavors I would like to add sweetener to in order to get a sweeter taste. Yes I am a sugarholic! How do I go about doing this? What do I need to buy to sweeten some of the pre-made juices. How much should I add so I don't ruin the pre-made juices? I want to eventually get into mixing my own but will have to do a lot more research first!

I've used stevia (pure stevia, not commercial sweetener found in the supermarket). The trouble is:

- I don't know if it's safe to vape. It probably isn't...
- It clogs up the coil (but no more than sugar does).
- It's very, very hard to dose right, because it's such a powerful sweetener. I've used the very tip of an exacto knife in 10 ml and that was too much.

Dunno about pre-made juices. However, I've tried overdosing juices I make myself, and more often than not, it didn't work in a "flavor power" sort of way. It actually changes the flavor of many juices.

For instance, I have this pistachio flavor that tastes of pistachio at the recommended dosage, but turns into buttery popcorn when dosed at twice the maximum dosage (nice actually). Another - peach - turns into some kind of nasty chemical at over 1 1/2 times the max dosage.

The one thing you can consistently add to pre-made juices is menthol: more menthol, more menthol flavor, until there's so much of it in the juice that the crystals won't stay dissolved anymore.

I found a TFA sweetener on the same site I use for my pre-made liquids. I am wondering if this will work.

Yes, that's just what TFA sweetener is made for. Many eliquid vendors that sell DIY flavorings sell sweetener in 10ml or larger bottles. All you do is add about 2-5 drops per 10ml of eliquid. I'd start off with 2 drops, shake well, then taste to see if you want more. DIY eliquid sweetener is concentrated stuff. A small bottle should last you a looooong time.

I have another question on the sweeteners and will just add it to my original question. Do these sweeteners leave an after taste like artificial sweeteners do in food? Are these artificial sweeteners? I also read somewhere here that marshmallow e-liquid can be used as a sweetener. Is that a better choice to use? Thanks.

Marshmallow flavoring is way better as it will also add a little smoothness, body, and moisture, plus some sweet.
It's not as strong as TFA sweetener but if you use sweetener just use a half a drop to 30ml:D
Very strong.

You can also add FA Fresh Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl, TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust, CAP Vanilla Custard v2, among other things to add a creamy, vanilla, cheesecake, or custard effect.

Ah so buy the flavorings instead of an actual pre-made liquid? I have some pre-made liquids that I really want to make sweeter. I am not a DIYer yet. I just don't want to waste the liquid that I purchased and feel that making them a little sweeter is what will do the trick. I know not to go overboard or they will be ruined. I just want sweet vs changing the flavor. The 2 liquids are coffee based and I like to drink my flavored cream with a little coffee if you get my meaning! ;)

When I first started vaping I was using pre-made juice too, and most of them needed tweaking, for my tastes at least.
So started buying some different flavorings to doctor things up a bit, and it worked fairly well.
A few drops of this and that, which led me more and more into DIY.
Still buy a pre-mix now and then, then I can buy the flavoring later if I like it.
Example: FW Orange Dream Bar (Bought MBV pre-mix with 0 flavor shots).
It needs to steep for a week before I even bother tasting.
Found it had more orange than cream so I added 10 drops TFA Vanilla Swirl and 5 drops TFA Marshmallow.
Steep for a few more days, and it's creamier now, good for me anyhow.

Order a bottle of sweetener, or get a bottle of Cotton candy flavored e juice to sweeten it up with.
If you get sweetener I'd suggest only adding a drop at a time and then shake it till your arm feels like it's going to fall off switch hands and do it again. Repeat till it's as sweet as you like. Or you can mix in some cotton candy flavor at say 4 to 1 juice to cotton candy and see how it is.

Thanks gpc. Is the sweetener that the vendors sell artificial? The reason I ask is I hate artificial sweeteners. They leave an awful after taste in my mouth. I prefer good old plain sugar! That is why I was also thinking about the marshmallow or the cotton candy flavorings to bring the liquids up a little bit in sweetness.

I eventually want to make my own. I just have to convince my husband. He wants to me quit smoking and is proud of my achievements so far. Yes I do still smoke regular cigarettes but not to the extent that I was (1 carton every 7 or so days). He smokes as well but has no desire to turn to vaping. Once I quit completely, he will also quit cold turkey. He can do this. I have seen it once or twice after being with him for 25 years. He usually starts up again because I am smoking!

Is it me or did nobody mention ethyl maltol? Or is that what TFA sweetner is made of?

I use it in certain fruit juices or baked good juices. It works very well. No more than 1/16 of a teaspoon per 15ml.

I think it's because EM or Sweetener will mute the flavor if too much is used, even 1 drop to 15ml is too much IMO.

TFA Sweetener is Sucralose, and 1-2 drops will sweeten my whole mug full of coffee, 150ml.

Glad you asked this! I've got the same problem with artificial sweeteners (on top of being allergic to them) and have been wondering the same thing. I'm also wondering if pre-mades generally contain sweeteners or not and what kind they are, or if the sweetness in those just comes from the PG/VG base?
