I'm not sure that you can actually test a battery's amp discharge rate on a multimeter, only voltage output.
To my knowledge, amp discharge rate is figured from a formula using the battery's C rating and battery capacity (mAh). The manufacturer sets the battery's C rating and battery capacity.
In the context of measuring the
amp draw of rebuildable
coils, you place the red (+) lead on the wire and the black (-) lead on another part of the
tank as a ground. The reading will be the coil's resistance or Ohm rating.
You then put this info into an
Ohm's Law Calculator, and use 4.2 volts for the voltage (a fully charged battery). Press calculate. The "current" will be the amp draw that the coil will have on the battery, and should not equal or exceed the continuous discharge rate of the battery.
