First off, if it's a rba that can be disassemble into pieces like the DID, you can disassemble it and leave the o-rings on. Then you just rinse off everything under warm water. If it's a genesis style that doesn't disassemble, you just need to pull the tank off want rinse it under warm water. If it's a standard silica wick rba, you can leave the o-rings on, just open it up and and rinse under warm water. If the wick and coil are gunky, you can use damp paper towel to lightly and gently wipe it off and rinse under hot water. The o-rings don't harden so easily. Over time they will eventually need to be replaced anyhow. That's why the vendors that carry them sell spare o-rings. I hope this helps. :)
