How wide to cut SS mesh for DIDS.

Finally I fugured out how to rebuld genesis atomizers to produce a quality vape but the ammount of vape still keeps me concerned. Last time I rolled about 3.5" or maybe even 4" wide 400 SS mesh it taste good but takes kinda too long to heat up. So, If you have a DID how wide would you cut the mesh to make it perform with a lot vapor?

I think it really depends on how much power you are pushing. I have a did and run a lot of power through it, my coils are in the .6 to .8 range, with this much power it can handle the heat sink of a denser mesh. I use about 4inches myself, but if your running coils above 1-ohm I would cut down the amount. what resistances are you running?

The trade off is this. The more mesh you use, the more juice the wick will hold; but the greater the heat sink effect.
