I won a contest back in May only to find my prize was shipped 10 days later then I was told it was going to be shipped. I had to ask for a tracking number in June only to find that my package was sitting in Customs since June 6th and that's it. No further tracking information after that.
I contacted Customs and they said to contact USPS that they did not have it. I contacted USPS and they say it never left Customs. So Customs Lost it??? I have contacted the Supplier numerous times with no response. Now it is September and the Supplier here doesn't seem to care that no delivery attempt was ever made to deliver my package.
Now I have been a member for around 6 or 7 years but I have only been actively playing in the contest realm here for around a year.
I am really bummed out over this . It was the firs rta I had ever won.
It just would have been nice it the vendor had responded to my PMs instead of ignoring me.

How would you feel if this were you?

I'd feel bad if it got lost by customs. But as it was something you won, not bought, it's hard to see getting mad with the vendor. They did their part sending it out. The postal service screws up often enough that I use it with trepidation, and make sure all my large orders are shipped by UPS or Fedex as stuff like that is far less likely to occur.

I had a package scheduled for delivery this past Friday. Around 2 PM, I got a text update (I always register for those if I have a tracking number) and it showed an attempted delivery at 12 PM, but was marked undeliverable return to sender! I went to my local post office and it was in the back awaiting return shipment. The reason listed was "no mailbox". I've only had a mailbox outside the house since the day I moved in. Turns out it was a covering delivery postal worker who "must have been confused". Fortunately I did manage to recover it, but :censored: happens with shipping.

But again, as a prize, it's tough to feel the vendor is in any way at fault or should replace the item.

If it were the only prize I'd ever won here or one of the very few I was actually excited about winning I suppose I'd be pretty bummed. But as @Eskie says it would be hard to fault the supplier who obviously did their part in trying to get your prize to you. Guess I'd just have to chalk it up to a really rotten turn of luck from Good to bad?
Keep on playing, you'll win again!

With all the computer tracking etc, these days? Hard to believe it just got lost. How does an inanimate package festooned with bar codes just disappear? My guess,,it was stolen..
yeah, it never left customs, now it can't be tracked any longer.

I wouldn't guess it was stolen. I've had packages that were presumed lost because tracking on them stopped & several months later the package would be delivered to my house.

I have had vape Mail Parcels stall during shipping and I have found that making phone calls and opening cases makes them magically start moving again. I had one package stop in Brooklyn once and after a phone call it was delivered 24 hours later. I assume it is different with customs but once in the hands of the carrier making some noise has worked for me.

@smacuser if you click the X in the corner that is gone for good or at least until another comes up.

I have never heard of that...

I have had package take there time but this one is the first package in my lifetime that has been lost that I can remember. I have had a neighbor go as far as to sign the words "A. Friend" as a signature for a fed x or ups package . This happened years ago. I don't live there any longer.
