Hello all! My wife has been sending me stuff on here to read for a while now, so I thought I would post something finally.

I've vaped for 2 years now, after smoking for 20. I started with E9's but recently moved to an EGO rig.

After seeing all the crazy mods that are available, I thought "Hey! I can make that!" (I really wanted one of those wooden cube ones, but...someday...haha)

My wife already posted a pic in another thread but as a newbie I can't get any feedback there. So, let me know what you think:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ms-pictures-picture212278-20130520-224149.jpg

It's made from a HAKK0 FX 901 battery powered soldering iron. I bought it a couple of years back because it came with a free pair of wire cutters. The soldering iron and wire cutters together were cheaper than the ones I was just about to purchase. And it sat in a drawer for 2 years (the wire cutters have seen a lot of use over those years:))

I learned a lot looking at the tutorial here:

How to Build the Puck e-Cig Battery Mod - Part 1 - The PUCK eCig Mod

Working well so far!

Awesome looking mod!

Since you've proven yourself at making an unusual mod, try a shoe mod next... Think of how cool it would be to have a Get Smart style mod... hahaha

Ingenious, I was thinking of making a coffee cup mod somehow, which would be stealthy for me since I always have my coffee cup ;-)

Someone out there already made a coke can mod, I think a coffee cup would be even better! If looking to stealth vape you could just blame the vapor on a fresh brew of hot coffee ;)

Hot chocolate? Latte?

With a bit of wire, you can get the innards into just about anything. The chosen battery size is the limiting factor.

How about the square 6 Volt lantern battery as a source? Not rechargeable, of course, but they ought to last a day or two...

I'm not sure that those lantern batteries could supply the large drain (high current) needs of a atomiser coil, but you could probably fit 4 18650s inside the shell of one lol

Welcome to ECF. I'll claim this dork... he's my hubby ;)

:wub::wub:

So, what I'm hearing is, he comes by the dorkiness by association?

Welcome to the forums, tombeau! You got some catching up to do before you'll surpass your wife! I've heard she's even re-coiling her Kangers.
