Hi guys, Im new to the whole ecig scene. I did a little research before getting a eGo kit off ebay. Got a couple 1100mah batteries, and some CE-4 and CE-5 clearomizers. I realize now that there pretty much disposable. The clearomizers suck IMO, gurgling, and clogging up after maybe 1.5 ml of juice. The fact that they are not rebuildable has gotten me to upgrade to protank 2 mini, which should be here in a week. Then more reading around on this site has made me want something VV. So I've got a itaste V3 on its way.

Im not a rich person, my goal is to get a vamo as the batteries are replaceable. but thats a little outta my price range right now.

With the itaste, and the protank setup, are there any tips or thoughts that I might have overlooked? Anything I should know?
And also curious on the battery life on the itaste.

Welcome Moto,
to the ECF neighborhood.
You may want to get another itaste V3 as a back up.
Do not have one, but hear they are a great VV/VW device.

Vamo is a good step up, but check out the Sigelei Zmax V5 for a few $ more when you can.

PTII mini on the itaste V3 shoould be a great set up. Less fuss, and muss
Just start at a lower V/W and work your way up to your "sweet spot".
Vape On....:vapor:

The iTaste 3.0 with Protank II toppers is one of the better setups in a stick battery in the market place....period. I have four of the iTaste's, and they completely replaced my vv Twists and Spinners and Kgo's. Probably the best stick battery on the market, imho. Also, the Protank II's are one of the very best clearos on the market. I like them and the iClear30s's the best. I use carto tanks as a daily vape and you do get a better vape from them as opposed to clearos, YMMV. Good luck, an excellent start, and those iTaste's will provide backups, stealth, out and about gear, for as long as they last, and even make ok primary batteries. It's just that at 800 mAh, I only get about 5 hours or so with them. The missus uses the iTaste and she can go all day on a single battery. Rule number one in vaping is backups for backups, so a second iTaste 3.0 is a good idea. The MVP V2 is a popular choice, though a little under powered compared with a Vamo, and the Vamo is less, but with batteries and chargers, the MVP V2's internal battery setup can have you going for about $40 (101vapes). A very fine start. Best to you and good luck in your GearQuest!

Hi Moto, welcome to ECF!

I would actually recommend getting a second iTaste VV V3 battery and rotate between the two. I have these myself, and they last me about 6 hours of heavy vaping. I can charge one while vaping the other. It's also possible to use them as a pass through, vaping while charging, but that increases the charging time substantially, not to mention you are tied to a cord at that point (not so mobile). The iTaste VV is a fantastic battery for features and function, give it a try and see how it works out for you before deciding if you really need to spend the money on a Vamo. My iTastes are about 5 months old and still going strong, they are real workhorses.

Good luck, enjoy your new gear!

Welcome~ I'm new to this too but I've had good experiences with the CE5 so far. Hasn't clogged up on me yet, maybe cos I'm using lighter liquids? But for gurgling, blowing it through onto a paper towel, cleaning/drying the contacts on both the batt & atomizer & not over-tightening them usually work for me. I'm using a protank 2 as well & likes the richer flavour it gives, but I occasionally switch back to CE5 just for the tighter draw. Since you already have the CE5s, maybe you can dismantle them & give the parts a good rinse or/& change their heads to make the most of them. :vapor:

I had two of the non-rebuildable CE5's and did not like them for several reasons.

1. The units had wicking issues that my Evod's and Mini Protanks never had. A BCC simply wicks better for me. My evod's and Mini Protanks blow my CE5's away flavor wise as well.
2. The CE5's had ml markings on them making my device look like a medical device. The last thing I want is is for some ignoramus to look at me and equate my vaping with using a a syringe! I'm vaping, not shooting horse.

Itaste vv3 with mini protank 2. Can't think of a better setup.

Im definitely gonna research before my next upgrade, already leaning towards the zmax. but who knows what new device will be out by then. Untill then it sounds Like I might need another Itaste, but Im not a heavy vaper, and I can charge in my truck between breaks at work. We'll see how it goes the first couple days but Im already happy I chose what I did.

Thanks for all the support and thoughts on my next upgrade. Very glad I joined.

Hello and welcome to ecf. You made a good choice with the it3, I have a couple of them and use mini protanks.Big advantage of the protanks is they are pyrex(glass) and can handle any type of juice, the plastic tanks will crack if you use citric or cinnamon based juices. Good luck with your new hobby.:toast:

Well I got my it3 last night, while I'm still waiting for my protank in such using a CE4 clearomizer. But man what a difference the itaste makes. Being able to adjust for different juices maxamizes potential. Very pleased with my purchase. Can't wait to get a decent tank and try messing with ohms.

Well after checking out the black friday deals thread, I've purchased a couple Evod's, some replacement coils for them, and a iclear16 to try out the dual coil thing to see if its my liking. Cant complain for 15 bucks.
My protank that I ordered has still not shipped, and the seller has not gotten back to me, I know its the holidays and i'm giving a break. Was most likely my last ebay e-cig purchase.

Moto...if you're still considering a Vamo, you can get the real deal at VaporBreak at the link below for $24.99 or for 3 dollars more get the Stainless Steel. I bought the Stainless one several months ago and am loving it, using it short with 18350 batts or longer with the 18650's. It's a powerful and dependable device.
