Howdy, Im the one that needed to lure hubby...

Some might remember me, I posted about my husband that wouldnt quick smoking and I wanted to try to find something for him to try vaping...

He and I are always on opposite ends of everything.
He is Winston I am menthol etc.. anyway, lots of great advice and suggestions on juice to try for him.

I had ordered riva 510 in platinum (he wouldnt touch my pinkie lol)
Since I was at liberty flights I ordered a couple of tobacco juices and they kindly sent a trial of a third.

Anyway, first i tried him on the silver and gold 24m dripping..
He coughed a bit and said it tasted like price albert .. lol
anyway he didnt totally reject it.. and actually took it with him to work the next day.
Yesterday I fixed his cart with virginia blend 18m he said it wasnt much different as far as taste..
and said he had vaped a little bit.. not much but again at least he hasnt shut it out totally.. And he is carrying it around in his eye glass case so maybe there is some hope .. .still only hoping for him to cut down on the analog but taking what I can get lol
so still crossing fingers and will continue to try new flavors for him as I test my own flavors

Sounds like you're making progress with him. If you push too hard though he may resist more. You mentioned in one of your previous posts that he is a macho type. The Riva is a very good PV, I know because I have one but it is not macho. Hopefully he won't notice that. The Riva and ego and all the other look-a-likes are very sleek looking. Macho? NO! If he needs something more macho then check out the Hex. They don't get much more macho than that. It has huge bolts on each end for crying out loud!

If he doesn't like the Riva, you will. Good luck with your endeavor.

Coffee flavours does it for me, I found I didnt like tobacco flavours, strange but true

Sounds like my husband...stubborn as a mule. If I say white, he says black. At first he didn't think I would ever quit smoking...boy did I prove him wrong. One day he said he wished there was some way for him to quit chewing. I just received a ProVari that I didn't care for due to how heavy it was. I handed it to him and told him to try it. He did, and hasn't chewed since. He now has 2 PV's and tries every juice I have. The only problem is getting him to load his own tanks and cartomizers. He said they look like something that he would break if he did it....I actually think he's lazy and doesn't want too. But what we use isn't hard for me to fill so all is good there.

In the case of your hubby, sounds like he doesn't want you to know that he's using his new PV. Keep feeding him juices and see if the smoking subsides...I bet it does but he won't admit it...LOL. Stubborn men!

I hope that eventually he comes to realize that you're doing it for him because you care. Keep hunting...juices are the hardest battle to win. I came across a vendor that I really love their tobacco line. Bounty Hunter is my favorite. A nice smooth, mellow vape but not huge on throathits so it may or may not be a "go" for him if he likes a strong TH. The vendor is nitelitevapor.com. Juices are cheap, USA made, great customer service, and shipping is fast ($4.95)...you can't beat that.

If he is dripping, maybe he would like something smoother with more vapor. Try some of the tobacco flavors at Backwoods Brew or FreedomSmokeUSA in 70pg/30vg and some in 50/50?

To me, tobacco flavors taste like I put a cig in my mouth and chewed it up. Yuck - me no likey!

My fave juice that resembles the taste of a lit cig is V4L turtle. It has the taste of smoked peanuts and has great TH. Straight-up coffee is also good as others have suggested.

I found that to be true as well...I like the flavors better than the "tobacco" flavors. Interestingly enough, I did try one of those mall kits first and always thought the Marlboro Medium flavor tasted like Maple Syrup..Since I upgraded and found new flavors..this is a complete joy now

Sounds like its just a matter of the right juice now. If he is really wanting tobacco flavors I really like the tobaccos from BWB nitelitevapor, and kickbassvapor. I have not tried FSUSAs tobaccos or Kalamazoovaporshop yet but I hear they are very good and will be trying them as well.

He doesnt look around at whats available... So I figured I would try this which I think he finds less offensive since its not pink lol. But I believe I will try to find that site again that had mod for like 40 bucks or so and see how he goes.

I asked him yesterday and he says that he is just vaping now and then just trying to get a little use to it. But he says that it makes him cough so I am kinda confused .. maybe i got wrong pg/vg .. goint to go look at liberty and see how they make theirs. I was going to try that backwoods brew for tobacco that seems to be highly recommended but I am confused again since he says vaping makes him cough and smoking doesnt.

oh yeah i had to let ya'll know im so excited that he hasnt totally shot the idea down. But have to do some more experimenting with his pv and juice. Atm he swears he just wants tobacco and no flavor.. but he does love his coffee.. and he takes a lot of sugar in his coffee lol.. So question I havent tried coffee flavor because i can picture it tasting like bitter black coffee .. and well I put a lot of foo foo (he says makes my coffee whimpy with choc and cream etc) .. anyway coffee flavor are they like black coffee or they sweet.. or do u buy a sweetner kinda thing and add your own lol..

His lungs are used to smoke. I know it seems odd, but even though the vapor is less caustic, it's still a foreign substance that the lungs are not used to so it can make people cough a bit in the beginning. Just like when you inhale the steam in a steam room for the first time your lungs resist.

Often, lowering the nicotine can help with this (don't know why). Often, raising the VG content can help. Almost always it just takes practice, practice, practice.

Now, how do you get him to want to practice? If you can find him a flavor he loves he may want to make it work (lighter drags, shallower inhales).

He isnt putting up much fight.. and im not pushing.. But yeah I dont ever see him filling carts or anything like that. I could get him to build me a mod before he would mess with lil bottles etc lol .. but thats ok if I find something he likes i will just keep him some cartomizers or something ready to go. I just told him I didnt expect him to quit or stop buying analogs but he could vape when its inconvient to smoke and maybe cut down a bit.. Long as i dont push him into anything he wont fight me much lol

I might try the mellow.. He says the 18 and 24 taste the same and dont seem strong but something making him cough.. so Im waiting to see what the experts reccommend before I buy anymore.
but whats the deal .. where does that stubborn come from lol

oh thanks for the juice supplier names I dont think ive heard of nitelite before.. now kickbass might work he is a obsessed bass fisherman and hey anything todo with bass fishing is alright by him lol
