Image issue should be fixed now. If you still have problems, try CTRL+F5 to force re-load, or clear cookies & cache & log back in. Please let us know if you still have any issues.

I'm still having problems with pictures on the classifieds.
I'm also on a mac with no F5.

I have yet to see a single modern keyboard that did not have function key abilities built into it. And while Apple keyboards do their best to hide this, the functionality is still there.

Did you also clear your cookies and cache as suggested?

Man, the site is really struggling! It takes so long to load pages and sometimes when I view attachments in post, the small viewing window hangs the whole window up while it's trying to load and I have to close the window. The site has been struggling for so long now it's frustrating waiting... and waiting... and waiting...

Is there somewhere that explains the page #'g in a thread and how to use it ?
Oft times I want to see the last page of posts, click on 'Last' or the arrow before it (next) and the posts that show up are below #10 ????
If I click on Page 1 (down arrow) and type in what I'm wanting, I don't get it in the #'d posts that show up -
Guess this ol' gal is just not understanding how these work!!!!!! (68 and counting, BUT spent a lot of my working years in data processing and to me, I'm just frustrated with ECF's ways of moving around the site. (signed on in January and my understanding of how these "Page #s/arrows/Last" work hasn't gotten any better - BUT I love the whole website!! tis awesome!!)

like... my post is #108, right? - but highlighted up on the 'Results' line is #1 ? - why is not Page 11 showing up as highlighted? - I'm just not getting the results I want from using that whole line!! ??

6/1/2013 - I had a thought... perhaps ECF when referring to/labeling the 'last post' is meaning the 'oldest posts/first in the thread' and I am thinking of 'last post' as meaning the most currently added ones? could that be where I'm getting all frustrated and not getting the posts I want to look at (the beginning ones) in a thread, when clicking on page #s in the 'results line' ? I need to go check out this new thought... will report back my findings (here) if I can.

I just had a 'thought' and posted it as an add-on to my original question. I'm off to check out whether I'm just thinking very differently than ECF does along the lines of what #'d posts are on a 'last page' ???
ie, does the 'last page' contain the first posts in a thread/with explanations and rules, (posts #1-#10 for example) [yes, according to ECF] .. the frustration is coming from me thinking those first posts (#1-#10) will be found on Page #1 up there on the 'results line'.

Is this 'clear as mud' now for those helping me figure this out? and perhaps other newbies out there?
I can't be the only one with 'stinkin' thinkin' in them thar parts! lol thus I share freely where I went wrong 'assuming', I think... (frown)

I took some screen shots and attached them (somewhere???) and they were too small to read the text or Page #s and Post #s - I'll try again with text on the bottom left of the photos regarding each print screen I captured... and try posting them in my photo album under NancyB's Photos (the 1st word is right, 2nd might not be)... give me 24 hrs tho - k?

well, I added 'comments' for each picture in the "problem solving" album I made for this issue (NancyB Albums)... and am done now, so you can go read about the pics and see them (not any larger than first two I took and posted tho)...

it depends on your setting - ascending or descending

i thought newest post last was the default setting on ecf. if you're getting newest post first you must have changed it


btw in this subforum you cannot use attachments. your screenshot would need to be hosted on an outside url. my preference is TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting - no account needed!

I found where I had a choice of options to change from descending/ascending to whatever I wanted... and the other drop down list how to view the posts/threads - from beginning and such - and made some changes there just now THANKS!

I knew from 1st attempt that pics would not show up well enough to read with my post here, so put them in my photo album (this time) but see they are not much better posted there either - so will try out 'TinyPic' next time - holler if you need them posted there for this instance/problem fix - k?

I so appreciate having a real live person as a sounding board in trying to solve a previously big frustration on my part! THANKS and have a good one!

Or if you're referring to the picture under your name on posts, that's your Avatar, and is the same process Katya listed, except you choose Edit Avatar on the left side.
