does it mean that if i want a VV mod that bottom feeds with single boosted batt it has to come from you?
maybe now the Eclipse people is going to have to pull the plug on a project that they've working on for more than 6 months...
i trully dont understand all of you people applauding :(
NO and hobbyist will be able to make their own with no worries , this only applies to companies that profit from them , I have a right to protect my inventions I currently hold 10 patents and these are the lifeblood of my businesses I would be broke without them !

no, but if has his way .. every other VV PV on the market will cost a little more and he gets a license fee.

yay awesome .. you rock.
Yes MFG will have to licence the technology if they want to make $ off of my design . Give away your paycheck or work for free , Is that what you expect me to do ???

Yea baby, good job mike the VV was born here and will stay here!!

Thanks

Yes. It was/is called The Buzz.

If that is the case and he publicly came out with the first VV mod...then yes, why not protect it and make some money too. Im all for fair business.

Okay my honest opinion, mike made a product that changed the way we all vape, other company's saw that this VV was the next best thing and want to make their own to sell and get profits from the VV PV market, but the thing is that they just make their devices Vv but don't take the time to pick the right parts, use smaller guage wires, (cause they dont want to spend the extra amount of money buying heavier gauge wire, cuts profits right?) Any ways mike might use a small rubber button, but guess what, I still haven't seen or heard of anyone having a failing button yet. Mike puts tender loving care into his products and I'm sure we are all happy to own a PV from him.

Wasn't the Fistpack the first VV device out? I realize that is was "selectable", not infinitely variable, but I believe that the concept was born there. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Selectable voltage is not the same thing as continuously variable, and Mikes Patent is for the continuously variable VV aspect, as well as a version of continuously variable using a network of fixed resistors, which is not the same thing that nuck did.

Zen you crack me up! It sure is good to see you here :)

I'm staying out of this fight except to say that I'm happy for Mike. You can bet your ... none of us want to be giving our money to BT again when they jump into this market. And it will happen.

Hey Mike, it is great that you are trying to patent your Mod, but to try, and patent VV Veri, or Variable voltage has been long used by thousands of company's way before you came along, it just a terminology name used in the electronic field. And besides the time it will take you to get that patent if they allow it, No one will be using that type of VV in Mods any more it will be obsolete. The new way of the future is coming with Mods like the Darwin, on adjusting it to Watts.
Think your wasting your time, and money, just my opinion, Good Luck.

Just a note its a matter of the application of VV to ecigs. The concept of VV in other applications is not relevant.

That said. In time variable wattage and variable volt may be old news. Every day someone comes up with a new idea. Who knows where we will go in the future as more R&D goes into the PV market. I would expect computer control is coming. The groundwork is there if someone expands it. LOL maybe someday you can just screw your atty on a iphone..... Never know.

Just for the record... I've already done that... I fed power from the port connector to a small box with a TI Booster in it... it vaped pretty well... killed the battery FAST, an I kinda had to take the phone in for service after I was done...:(
