A year ago this month, I quit smoking, and took up vaping seriously...had done it for a couple of months before that, but it was about 50/50 analogs/vaping. Hubby was supposed to quit smoking too, but didn't. He finally had enough this week and threw in the trash (causing me a moment of angst) all of his cigarette rolling stuff...the roller, tobacco, cases, everything.

Because he did have cigarettes around me, I caved from time to time and had one here and there. With him not smoking around me, I have no desire at all for one. We went to a local b/m store today and did taste testings of some different juices and found him one he really liked. He's having some wicked cravings right now, but I'm hoping that'll pass for him soon.

FINALLY, this will become a totally no-smoking household and I couldn't be happier!
:)

wow great story. i'm sure your husband will stick with it as soon as he realizes that vaping satisfies his cravings 10x better than smoking ever did. lol. thats the best part about vaping.. You think its gonna be like quitting, its gonna be hard and annoying and all of that..... and then it turns out to be better than smoking. lol.

I'm so glad to hear a happy story. If either one of you stumble just help each other up and keep at it. Lord know I've stumbled enough for all the forum. The support from a loved one is the most important thing you can have. All I can say at this time is that I wish the best for the both of you. Stay strong and don't be bitter if one or the other stumbles. Give support and comfort. Way to go.

I love the fact that my hubby and I vape together! Lots of juice tasting going on to the point he gives me headaches - his nic is higher than mine.

My house is totally non smoking. I do get reminders of the smell though - like when I drag something out of the closet that was in there when my husband still smoked in our room. EWWW, I went to work smelling like that. Totally grosses me out now.

The hubby doesn't seem to crave cigs anymore, but he's on juice burnout. He has no clue what flavor he wants so he starts mixing them up then hates everything. I spend soooo much more than on cigarettes, but it's 100000% worth it.

So, for all of you new users, for your husband OP, enjoy the journey.
Take it slow and you will get to where you'd like to be eventually.
Vaping can be 1000x more fun and interesting compared to smoking, and it CAN get cheaper, eventually.
It can get cheaper and it will save your life. :)

I'm proud of both of you. Keep it up and support each other. Personally I don't ever think about smoking a cig anymore and when I'm around friends who are smoking I think it's terrible. Funny thing is, my smoker friends keep wanting to use mine instead of smoking their cigs. Christmas is around the corner, maybe I will buy a few Twist or something for a few friends.

That's awesome for the both of you! Glad to hear of one less analog user, and he used the OLD SCHOOL ANALOGS!!! LOL

When smokes edged near to $5.50 a pack, we both started rolling our own. They tasted better, were MUCH cheaper, and we convinced ourselves they weren't AS bad for us as say a pack of Marlboro. Oh, the lies we tell ourselves lol

LOL tube cigs not as bad as a pack of marlboroughs? hahahaha. I started rolling my own (tube injected) cigarettes 2 years ago. I knew right from the start they were WORSE. They burned faster, they tasted and felt stronger, and they were so cheap and easy I went from a pack to 35 a day. RYO cigs are in no way, shape, or form... BETTER for you than cigarettes if anyone reading this is wondering. lol. By the end of a RYO cigarette, dump the (browned) quarter inch stub of tobacco out. Its black goo. GOO. lol. Then try that with a grade A, USA inspected cigarette... Its moist tobacco. RYO is GROSS! lol. I remember (well, barely) nights where I would chain smoke those things. Make one, smoked it. Make one, smoke it. Make one, smoke it. Too convenient. And they burn up into your lungs like a dynamite fuse, so you end up taking more hits than you'd like. Horrible!
