I would have smoked if I could have found one to smoke. I still kind of feel that way. I didn't have this problem when I quit in 2010. I read a post where people smoke and vape, and I thought it would be ok, but I couldn't find a cig, so I guess I am not supposed to smoke. It will be better tomorrow.

I work with a couple guys who Vape and smoke. They Vape MORE at home when they're around family. I myself quit smoking the day my ecig came in the mail almost 19 months ago... When I'm in the "smoke-hut" at work I can deal with the smell but once I get into a clean air environment, I can't stand the stale odor...
No one says if you're a Vaper that you can't smoke at the same time. Its your decision... do what works for you...

I'm coming up on a year off the stinkies. I haven't even tried to smoke one, now I have no desire to ever again. I said when I quit that if I really wanted to, I could. I also said to myself that it wouldn't be a failure, it would be a minor set-back, as long as I continued to vape more than I smoked. Once I said that to myself, I never wanted to smoke again, knowing I could. It's hard for me to explain, but it freed me from the stinkies. Keep on vapin' as much as you need & if you smoke a couple, don't beat yourself up. But before you do, come on ECF & talk it over with everyone here. Just do your best!

I did the same as DummyMe. I continued smoking when I started vaping. I noticed I smoked less as the days went by and two weeks later I lit my last cigarette and gagged. That was 6 months ago. The point is not to feel deprived. No one is going to judge you. Test different flavors of juice and have fun with it.

When I first tried ecigs 2-3 years ago, I thought it was " smoke OR vape". I failed. (Of course I was using cig lookalikes from 7-11. )
This time I got a quality battery device & I continued to smoke when I wanted to smoke. So I "smoked AND vaped" instead of "smoked OR vaped"
BTW: I havent smoked in 3 days.
I like this method much better.

I'm new to vaping (about a month now) but I smoked a few cigs a day
for the first 2-3 weeks, whenever I got the craving. And a few days ago,
I got rid of the analogs finally. I'm not craving them as much, and when I
do, I chain vape the craving away. Very happy with the progress. It does
get better, but everyone is different, so don't be hard on yourself.

First off, don't get upset or feel like a failure if you have a smoke once in a while. I did the same thing when I started vaping. The cravings were less and less. I finally found a juice that REALLY hit the spot when I had a bad craving. I kept that juice at 24mg, while my others were at 11mg. When I needed (or felt like I needed) a real cig, I swapped out for the high nic flavor. Hit it a few times...boom. Craving was totally gone. I'm now down to 6mg because the 11 is ripping my throat apart. I'll put in some 11mg if I get a craving now, which hardly exists anymore. Keep with it and whatever you do, don't get discouraged or feel like a failure if you have a smoke. It's not the end of the world should you have one. If you can get past that 3 day hump, then the 7 day hump...you will find that a cigarette may just make you gag when you light it up.

Evie, apparently your PV and/or juice is not satisfying you completely. I don't know what you're using, but have you thought about changing up your equipment or juice? I'm using a VTube (along with a Silver Bullet and a KGO), Vivi Nova tanks and 18 - 24mg juices. I get plenty of throat hit, vapor and nicotine from that setup. Any time I have the urge for a smoke, a few vapes makes the urge go away.

I know the feeling. Though I did have a few rollups on the weekend and they tasted horrid, I swear I could taste the thousands of chemicals and nastys. Needless to say I picked my ecig back up and tasted the vibrant wounderful flavours of e-liquid goodness!.

The more I vape, the more I hate the taste/smell of smoke....... Nothing worse going a week with no smoking and then to have the wife come up and give me a kiss after her smoking. apparently ecigs give her a "headache"....
