I knew my son was buying me the eGo so I could use it at his apt (one of those) instead of smoking analogs on his fire escape LOL. I told him to send it to my home so I could try before visiting his apt. I had on hand 5 cartons of Seneca Light 100's (substantial investment) when I received the eGo. I didn't' know anything about ecigs and was very, very skeptical. So, I decided to just give this new "gimmick" a whirl to see if it would help when visiting my son's apt. Keep in mind, I attempted acupuncture, hypnosis and neither worked so I referred to the eGo as another "gimmick".

HUGE MIRACLE ! At 10:14am EST, on Sept 14th I tried the eGo and haven't had an analog since! Now I have 5 cartons of Seneca Light 100's in my closet...... I've read some new vapers have given their analogs away (pack or two) to the homeless, I have 5 freakin cartons.... So newbies that haven't started vaping yet ..... if you're reading ECF you're in a great place if you haven't stopped with the analogs yet. Just know, DO NOT stock up on analogs and then try vaping you'll have analogs in your closet and $$'s out of your pocket......

I quit smoking by accident as well, didn't have that many but did have a carton, so sent all but one pack to work with my hubby and he gave them away. I keep one in my purse just for me to know I don't need it, it's been in there for 2 months and haven't touched it. Is just my way of knowing that I am in control, not them.

Don't know if you are aware but you don't have to put the analogs in the fridge anymore.....since the 60's when they (tobacco companies) started spraying with preservatives (one of the 4k chemicals).... There was a time analogs would dry up but not today. One time I found a pack with 2 analogs that I know was extremely old. Lit one up just to see...... it smoked/tasted just like I had just purchased the darn thing...... real scary.... glad I'm vapping now. So, free up your freezer space, the carton will be fine in a dry place .... Happy Vapping Trails To U

My unopened carton of Senecas is in my freezer. LOL Kinda like you, I figured I'd have to taper off cigs gradually, but by day 2 of vaping I couldn't stand the taste of the cigarettes.

Nope, I didn't know that. Goes to show how old I am! LOL Thanks for the info. I can use the freezer space.

Love your story! I had two and a half cartons around the house when I got my first e-cig. I didn't intend to quit but only use the e-cig at times that it would be more convenient than smoking. I never liked to wait until I was completely out and honestly didn't think I still had so many left so I had intended to go to the Indian Reservation to get a few more cartons but hadn't gotten there yet, LUCKILY!!!!! Four hours after I used my first e-cig I decided I really didn't like the taste of the analog I tried to smoke and with some major vaping sessions when an urge to smoke hit me only smoked 6 more analogs in the next 7 days. I waited a month and gave one carton plus 5 packs to a friend for her husband that smokes. I still have that second carton sitting upstairs in the closet. Now that I've passed the two month mark its time to give that carton away too!

I had the same experience. I had some coupons and had just purchased two cartons of American Spirits. When I needed to have some dental surgery done and was told not to smoke for 24 hours, it seemed like the ideal time to switch over to vaping. After 24 hours of nicotine abstinence, starting up vaping felt wonderful!

I have been smoke-free since March 27, 2009, have 19 unopened packs of cigarettes, and no desire whatsoever to smoke them. Wonder where I can find some homeless guys...

haha, I did the same thing! It was impossible to convince me that I wouldn't need those 2 cartons of camel wides I absolutely had to have in case the eCig was yet another epic fail. What a financial burden that was, trying to buy cigs and my first eCigs. Had I of listened to all the helpful advisors, I could have ignored the cigs and gotten my eCig sooner! Live and learn lol.
