I have a nephew who lives on Chokoloskee Island, so I always keep an eye on all these hurricanes.

Been getting notices all morning from our carriers about Binding Restrictions due to Matthew...
Meaning that we are being frozen/locked out of writing new or changing policies.

I no like this at all.

My understanding is that's normal any time a named storm looks like a real threat to FL...

Yeah, I am not liking that AT ALL.

Me neither. The good news is i am about one hour inland from Jacksonville. The bad news is by the time it gets to my area is still looks like a cat 2. So preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Power pack, all batts fully charged. And phones and iPads will be by then.

I'm glad I just (week before last) had an Oak next to the house with root rot taken down, it was about 3 feet in diameter and 5 feet from the house.

We made reservations at a motel in Tally just in case they tell us to evacuate. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesnt happen.

That's a good move, I have lived here all my life and don't worry about many hurricanes, but this one has my attention. Stay SAFE EVERYONE.

By the looks of it, I am directly east of Burnie. On the east coast north of Lake Okeechobee.
