Hurting the atomizer?

Hi,

I've been vaping (and thus not smoking!) on an eGo for the past 2+ weeks, and just have a few quick questions about my usage of it. I am using a SR 510 atomizer with a manual eGo battery. When I go to take a drag, I will typically turn on the atomizer for a second or two before I actually go to take a drag so that I get more vapour without having to suck as long. Is this hard on the atomizer to have it on with no air passing over it?

Also, I am planning on purchasing a couple LR atomizers for my PV. I have seen, in a number of places, that LR atomizers are not for beginners and have a learning curve, but I haven't seen anyone expand on why that is. Could you provide me or point me to some information on what I need to know when using a LR atomizer? I love my eGo but I want more vapour. I've already switched to VG for its vapour (and because I find I get wheezy from PG), but I still need more vapour damnit! :)

Thanks in advance!

I do the same thing and have wonder if it hurt the atty. I read somewhere in the forums to give the atty a 2-3 second juice warm up. I have an Ego and also love it but recenty bought an Ego Tank atty and tanks. Great concept but very finicky. It has problems with thick dark vg juices. The tank has a larger volumn of vapor than the Ego even with pg/vg juices. If you are wanting a whole lot more vapor than that you may have to go with a mod.

No, I've done it for 6 months now. I've yet to kill one yet by doing that.

Also, I am planning on purchasing a couple LR atomizers for my PV. LR atty's aren't suppose to be used with a proprietary battery such as the eGo. You should get a mod like pursmoker's Icon that is actually a true 3.7v battery. The MOSFET switches in the eGo batteries can't withstand the head and pull from the LR atty. It burns these up quicker than normal. If you choose to use a LR, be prepared to replace your batteries. I know other members use them on eGo's but they also have complained that their battery died. Just a heads up on this issue.

Thanks in advance!
