Just broke out a HV semi 801 atty from ikenvape, I have never used an 801 before, I have always used 510 HV atty. My juice really tastes different, almost as if I'm vaping 2 different juices. I'm running the 801 on my 5v saber and the 510 on my glv 5v. Not sure if there is a break in period for the 801.
Haha isn't it amazing?! I think people get the idea that I'm lying on how the same flavored juice on the 801 is purely night and day especially in comparison with the 510.
The 801 needs a few cycles to be fully broken. What I mean is to get the liquid circulating, by adding and vaping and adding. Liquid in, vapor out until the draw starts to stiffen into place. Your juice consumption will start to come to a slow as the performance keeps heightening.
I love the 801's. The 2.5 is a better choice at 5V, IMHO. I like the 3.5 around 6V. Eats juice, though.
Right on Doc!
Do you need an adaptor for the 801? I have one to go from 808 cart to 510, will that work?
Switcher is always is accurate.I swear, if he had a shot gun he would shoot like a surgeon with it. :thumb:

The non believers, believe the 510 is the bees knees, but that being said they probably never tried an 801, or 901 for that matter. However, the 801 cannot hold up to the 306 for flavour. I didn't call it the long lost gem for nothing, and this is coming from an all atty lover.

Funny thing, the other day I pulled out an original Drew LR510, now I know where my dislike for LRs comes from. There is/was a funky taste that needs to be worked through (takes a good while). I tried another LR I had (non NHaler) and num num. FWIW folks unless you have a stash of the originals, don't fret they are no longer available.

Let me re-phrase, if I have a 901 to 510 adaptor, will that work for the 801?

No. 801 atties have different threads than the 510 or the 901. If you have a native 901 adapter on your PV, you will need a 901-801 adapter...

Edit: sorry, didn't realize that progg beat me to it...

Anyone loaded up two AW 3.7 Batts for a 7.4V and ran one of these HV 801's OMG what an awesome vape they are, fill up to the top of the dang Bridge with liquid and just vape away on these babies, what an incredible Atty with plumes of vapor and the best and most tasting atomizer on the market bar none. I'm running one on my VV Ali'i mod as well as some other mods and these Atty's just ROCK THE HOUSE DOWN.!!!

I have some of these coming and was planning on getting past the break-in period by putting in ten drops of liquid and letting it sit for a bit before firing it up for the first time. I read that tip here on ECF and it's helped me avoid the nasty atty taste of new attys. Will it do the same for the semi 801?

Haha yes sir Switcher, hence the extra work and delay going into the 1.5 area of atoms. Well bring them back to hardcore vaping with finesse.

@ mwa : "fill up to the top of the dang Bridge"

Are you saying to submerge the Bridge completely on the HV 801 literately? If so I will have to give that a try when I pick up some AW 3.7 batt's...

That he is. He did teach me how to use a 306 with drip tip properly with his good tips. I didn't try the Hv on 7.4v but what he's doing here is what I call the afs method. The afs is a device for a branded unit that submerges the atominzer in liquid. This allows the atom to run on higher voltages (voltage - heat) without burning as it naturally would on traditional dripping.
