Noalox is not a cleaner, it is an anti-oxidizer. I personally only use it on the threads of the tube.

Me, too. Some say to also put it on all brass contact points but I don't like to do that, seems like I have to clean the contact points more often when using Noalox.

I just figured out what is going on........ These aren't firing because they don't quite want to screw on the whole way. 4 of the 5 are slightly wider or something. I guess I couldn't tell at first because I didn't know how far it was supposed to screw in, and it wasn't until the #3 that I got one that fits. I just figured wherever it hits resistance is where I should stop screwing it in...

So what is this now, just a defect or my device isn't tolerant enough of the larger size? No other atties look like this so it isn't a 901 or something. I guess I can take some pictures, but these 4 are just slightly wider bodied at the threads and they aren't firing because it won't touch the battery post. Some of the wide 4 screw in a little further than the others.

Do you have any other atties to try on the P18 in a 510/306 connection, or do you have any other devices to try the 306s on. Although HV they should fire at 3.7V removing the DOA theory.

Nope, I have nothing but 808 stuff...considering some VV mod or new PV...but I just spend so much on this junk. I clearly can't say DOA now, but these 4 are not made the same. I'll take some pictures later with my new macro lens. Basically, when you look at the battery end there is from center to outside:

air hole
"center post" ring
white plastic recessed ring
outer ring/threads

On the one that works, the white ring is more like 0.5mm wide, then the others are more like 1mm wide. If you look at them from the side then, they are noticeably different.

There is more of a "silhouette" on the one that works, that is the brass tube before the atomizer and after the threading is narrower. On the ones that don't work it is more uniform width, and wider, which is why they don't screw in.

The P18 native connection is indeed a machine fit class 1 thread, so not all commercially produced attys will fit. If you had an MM you could prove the attys. However, you will not damage your P18 by forcing the atty to fit if you can, work it back and forth, going a little further each time, until it fires.

FWIW I have an Icon from Puresmoker that is not supposed to accept anything but JoyE attys, yet I am vaping an SLB carto on it. Long and short, ya need an MM, especially moving from here. You spent allot of money and I feel your frustration, but stuff is a better word than junk, because none of it is junk :)

I'm not making much progress with working these in, not worth the time. It has at least 2mm to go when it is catching. Once it catches, I have problems with the P18 unscrewing and need to get the pliers out. Maybe something else I buy someday will work with these. I need to concentrate on getting a setup that works, because all I have is this one leaky atty and one fresh carto. Thanks for the help anyway Switched.

Something I forgot yesterday during our communiques. Super T will chase the threads of the native connection for you as it has a lifetime warranty regardless of owner. I have 2 x 510-901 "stealth" adapters that will not fit my P18 but do every other device. The adapters only screw on halfway on the P18. I think I'll chase the threads of those this afternoon.

I ended up ordering a VV Tekkeon mod with 510 connector, probably not machined fit, so maybe they will work. I can't afford to send off my P18 right now, because this one little atty is all I have that works well. I know IKV isn't "junk", I was just frustrated, as you saw my dumb problems with the P18 I got too. But now we all learned something. I will still take pictures sometime if anyone wants to know. Hopefully these atties will last me a while because they are good, not like I have much to compare to though, for changing flavor to flavor when de-wicked. It does come down to these not having been consistently manufactured. I'll still probably place an order sometime to try this RY4 and maybe some 808 cartos or if I need some other atties for VV.
