 Okay, that was a dumb, embarassing question lol - sorry, guys. I figured that out (take out the top firing pin!) about ten seconds after I hit "Post" I think I'm just gonna toss that hybrid adapter in the box and leave it there. It's just not worth the hassle.
As long as your atty has an adjustable 510 pin it's safe and simple to use the adapter , I run my Rose V2's and my Aqua 2 in hybrid mode on the Stingray X all the time , but you do need to pay attention to what you're doing . No big deal if you're already paying the necessary attention to operate a mech safely to begin with . For a little added safety you can pick up an adapter that's insulated on the battery side like this . https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10009956/1931400-m20x1-hybrid-510-adapter-for-mechanical-mods-3

I find it strange that when I ordered a hybrid adapter for my copper vanilla it turned out to not be a true hybrid and still has the usual pin arrangement. Makes you wonder what issue the original mod maker has with that, I don't want it just for the looks(although shorter is cool)but it seems pointless to produce an adapter that does nothing in practical terms to reduce voltage drop.
I was wondering about ordering one from the posted links ^^âs the size is good. I'm guessing that the problem will be at the switch.

Anyone own a vanilla and use a hybrid adapter?
