Ordered from VT mid-July and got mine yesterday. No pyrex tank in the case. Hope VT just ships one to me or do I have to ask for it? The preorder thing is worth it to get best price but the hassles detract quite a bit from the buying experience lol.

Same with me, but I just received another shipping notice from VT a few minutes ago. I expect it is the Pyrex tank.

Got my Elite today. the button sucks. misfires. when you roll your mesh make sure its tight. i laid it down and had a mess.

I also use an allen key / hex key to make the hole bigger. get a size that barely fits and work it.

Sooo.....mine arrived today, WITH the glass tank. Polycarb tank was pre-installed. I was under the impression (for no reason) that the cover that fits over the poly tank would also fit over the glass tank. Y'know, for extra protection. No go. Glass is too thick. Not a complaint, just an observation. That LOADS of other folks have probably already made.

I do have a tiny problem though, and I DO mean TINY. When I was disassembling the atty, a tiny little black o-ring popped out the top as I was pulling out the main pin. I assume it was inside the top delrin bit. I have no idea how to get it back in there. I'm afraid that if I try to get it back in, I'll just get it wedged in the tube. And that would be....stupid.

Is it safe to just leave it out?

Here's my first build on my Hybrid Elite. I made the mistake of also using flat/ribbon kanthal for the first time. Spent a looooong time trying to get it captured under the spring. Probably won't use it again. Even with this 2/3 wrap, it's about 1.4Ohm. Feels anemic. Pretty weak vapor and flavor. It WORKS but it can clearly be improved with a better build. Used SS cable with an ekowool hat.

I see lots of complaints about the button but it doesn't really bother me much. UNLESS it's what is contributing to the "weak" performance. But, like I said, my build is pretty lousy. Also, I lost the little washer that sits on top of the capture spring. The one I replaced it with is slightly larger. Don't know if that's hurting performance or not.

I did. That fix is a bit over my head. Too many parts and things/skills I do not possess. Meaning, I'm pretty sure that if I attempted that, I would render my button kaput!

I popped the spring out this morning on the button. its not soldered. i took it out and put it back in seeing i couldnt find a screw. used a small screwdriver. the derlin holds it in place. i`m thinking that if you can build a coil that shoots flaming lava you shouldnt have a problem with popping out the spring.

Hmmm. Point taken. I still don't have a good replacement for it though. I don't have it handy at the moment. I'm in ATL. Just saw Man or Astro-Man? play at the Starlite Drive Invasion. Great band, great show, somewhat overly rowdy crowd. Almost got in the middle of three clumsy drunken almost-fights.....still had fun.

I have been following this thread and thought I would add my 2 cents. I ordered mine in silver from discountvapers this past Wednesday I got it Friday, 2 days wow. It came complete with 1 carrying case / 1 Elite mod in 18350 mode with poly tank installed on it with metal protector / 1 glass tank and protector does not fit over it / 1 18650 ex tube / 1 sqr 400 SS mesh & wire A1 kanthal. It so far is working flawless with SS mesh 400 and 32 gauge kanthal with a 3/2 wrap. The drip tip works well but is to ugly to use IMHO. When in 18350 (800 mah) mode I get about 5 1/2 hours of solid use with heavy vaping and all day with 18650 (2000 mah). I have drilled out the air hole to 1 1/16 and I am considering adding a vent hole to the base of the 18350 tube the same size or I may get a fuse.

does anybody know if there is a replacement for the top cap on the market yet? it's not a big deal, but i scratched mine while trying to widen the air hole with a nail (i slipped-oops), and i'd like to replace it.

Is it shinny where you scratched it like the inside of the tube. I have been pondering sanding and polishing it then a little clear coat you would not know it from the Noble 1.

Like sgenn99, I scratched mine. It's shiny aluminum.

I'm not sure. It was the smallest my local hardware store had. I'm gonna guess 2mm. It fits just fine, even with a little wiggle room.

Are you experiencing much voltage drop? I am. Pretty bad. I rebuilt mine last night, this time with
400 SS mesh and an ekowool hat. What I don't get is that, even with the atty totally removed from
the mod itself, it ohm'd out to 1.3. That's with 2 wraps of the kanthal it came with, which I assume
is 30 gauge. Attached to the device, it measures a full 2.0 Ohm. So I AM gonna hafta tweak the switch.

But I don't have all the materials the guy in the previously-posted video talks about.
Here are some photos. Maybe someone can see where I'm doing something else wrong?
My other genesis devices are fine. I usually do a 3 wrap with 28 guage kanthal and get about 1 Ohm.
Should I just try again using the larger diameter kanthal?
