Right now, I'd tell you not to feel too bad. I'm rather disappointed in this. But, like I said in the previous post, could be I'm doing something wrong. As it stands, it's sitting here in front of me with a full tank of El Kamino that I can't enjoy.

I'm sad lol we are still waiting for ours from wsv lol. Maybe next week. Holding on to that hope for next week

The top deck of the Elite is anodized. The negative post hole is anodized as well. I screwed the negative post in and out several times to remove the anodizing on the threads and get the contact metal to metal. I fixed this and replaced the bottom spring at the switch with a brass contact. That woke it up nicely.

I like this. This sounds like something I can do. Maybe.

Could you elaborate a little bit on the "replaced the bottom spring at the switch with a brass contact" part?
Do you mean the spring is now GONE, and there's a brass....something in its place?

Sorry if I'm being dense.

No worries. I popped the spring out. It is just pressed in to the white Delrin plastic piece. I then pressed in a threaded brass fitting with an adjustable brass screw. That way it can accommodate different sized batteries, ect. You press the button, spring loaded firing pin hits the brass fitting instead of the battery spring. image.jpgimage.jpg

Where did you find the threaded brass fitting?

ok, figured i`d post this to help a few out with stripping the anodizing. all you need is oven cleaner and something to hold the parts so all parts are completely covered. i did the tank cover separate just in case this failed but i suggest doing it by itself seeing its so thin. ok. put all parts in a glass , spray parts till all is covered, in a min or so youll need to spray more once the bubbles settle. about every 3 minutes swish the glass to mix things up a little, it will help out the process. after 15 minutes no less from the time you started spraying get your parts out and wash them good.

this is three before pic.............before.jpg before 3.jpg before 2.jpg
