Lol I bought a kts also but decided to keep it because I don't mind bringing it around with me. If it gets damaged ... eh I'm ok.

Its all good now. hits like a champ. once i removed that black crap where it made connection it was golden. it would be nice if a replacement button is made. one that comes apart without destroying it. i`ll make something sooner or later to my liking.

i was the kid that fixed the neighbors kids toys. i also like this mod a lot so i was determined. this is my second mechanical in 3 months and i wasnt impressed by the KTS. ended up selling it. this Elite is a keeper.

my first impression with the KTS were............. took a few drags. i was thinking this is bad ... for the price. sat it down and when i picked it back up it was hotter then hell. very hot. got the batter out quick. once it cooled down i noticed the spring was melted under the battery. yes, it was melted. so i sanded all the obvious parts down, soldered a Provari spring in it. it worked good then. i was talking to a friend and told him what happened with the spring. he then offered me $20 for it so i sold it. i pretty much panicked when the Elite button got hot. i like this mod but i do need to drill a vent hole. i`ll probably do that in the lower cap "hidden" where the battery makes connection so it will vent out where the button is.

Ahhhh.....fasttech. I've got an order waiting to be shipped. One week down, at least another to go. And then another 10 days or so for shipping.
I love and hate fasttech.

Lol, I just spent $30 on drip tips after posting those links. They have so many new tips it's crazy. I got a total of 22 drip tips for that $30. Thing is that none of them are in-stock right now. I gotta wait till the 10th supposedly before they get them in.

According to Bedazzle Tubes, 22* Genesis tube 1.5mm wall 26mm tall (approximately)

Noble - Bedazzle Tubes

Awesome so anyone with a elite see how tall your tank is. 26mm = 1.023 inches tall. 1.5mm thick wall is pretty standard. Not sure if the diameter changes, should be 22mm right?

Yeah you and me both. 'cept you've already done a lotta work, I'm just lazy/leery of futzing up something so bad that the mod is rendered completely useless.

if it does fit. Noble 1 Quartz Tank........... Noble 1 Quartz Tank

I`m looking for button parts or full replacement. i sent them a message, just waiting on a reply.

So the button is threaded into the 'floating' brass section & not press fit? I'd gotten down to the point where I wasn't sure whether to pull or twist the button. It didn't feel like it was going to unscrew.

got it apart. i`m thinking it may have something to do with all the thread lock that was on the threads. i`m just giving a heads up. if you pull this apart you will need to use pliers to hold your switch and it dont look so pretty afterwords. i`m not sure what i`m gunna do with the switch but i dont care for the spring.

Its threaded all right. I would think a heat gun would help but i wouldnt use a flame. once i got to the point where it just wouldnt budge i said screw it. if it brakes it brakes and it came out. youll have to sand the sides where the flat head goes in the derlin. it gets a little off shape from the screwdriver and will stick if you dont.
